Sounds a lot like the Sheriff. I don't think the same game should have both this and the Sheriff.

You seem to think this is a nerf, but getting confirmed by a daytime announcement is a buff.

(Not that it matters, since most players of this role will have claimed and confirmed themselves the first time they used their ability.)
