Suggest new roles or changes to current roles for the game here.

Slight jester change

Jesters should only win when they haunt, not when they are lynched.
And the random haunt feature should be removed, so if a jester doesn't haunt then no one dies and the jester loses.
The reason why this should be implemented is because many jesters use the random haunt which heavily relies on luck.

I don't see the problem with how it works right now

The game is highly luck-based anyway. I do understand why you would want jester to be forced to play kingmaker, but I don't think it will really matter that much in the end. It is still going to be a roll of the die to determine who the jester feels like siding with today. Also unknown roles and stuff.

Replace Jester's haunt in general honestly. Strahm is right, since the jester won it has no stake in the game and all of its decisions are luck based.
Factional balance - understanding that whisper games are bad because they cause Town to win a disproportionate amount

Strategical balance - understanding that whisper games are bad because there's no reason to use any other strategy

Structural balance - understanding that disabling the Mayor's whispers, despite it fixing whisper games, means that a player can't use a core mechanic of the game and is still bad

This matters - educate yourself.

Agreed.

I think Throne of Lies got it right: "When a Jester is lynched, no one can be voted to the stand the following day." It accurately penalizes the people who want to win by lynching (usually the town, but also the mafia if they get majority).

Yeah but that's a bit too town sided. What about a mass Jailblock to all guilty voters/abstainers?

no idea how that would be townsided because all evils gain more KPN whilst town cant lynch them

but with the base change idea i dont see the point of it. jester has won so they can do whatever they want, including randomising the kill. the kill is there to scare players into not lynching a jester and that scare factor is reduced by that random lynch ability. some jesters would just pull up an RNG anyway lol

Roleblocking all voters (piercing roleblock immunity) would make Jester more skillful. In addition, we could also have Para's Jester.
