if you've announced your intent to kill me, you should realize that I'm not gonna be at my house, and probably nobody else is too, unless they want to get some free faith points by guarding it
However, if I'm not in the house, and nobody's visiting (why would they, if it means risking getting killed?), then that leaves you free to steal from it! Which is guaranteed to get you the gold you think is rightfully yours--unless someone wants to get some free faith points by guarding my house.
In which case I can leave my house for whatever purpose I choose--such as contacting someone who I wish to leave a message for.
Yeah, I'm gonna go with, you saying you're going after me means that you probably shouldn't. If you hadn't said anything, I might've ended up staying home, and you could have gotten me dead, no problem.
