Behind the Mask: Minecraft Party

16 different entities from all around the Minecraft world have all come to one server to become the official mascot of the game. These were the most powerful mobs of their kind. Notch wanted the best mob to represent his game, so he sent out one of his Admins to send out invites to them and gather them in one spot. When they got there, they see someone in a normal Alex skin.

Welcome all of you! You've come to the competition of a lifetime, where only one will survive, well, aside from respawning but that's beside the point. If you manage to win, you'll become famous and gain unimaginable riches creative mode is great! Anyways, on to the rules."

Rules

Signups
-Before the game begins, the Admin forms a rolelist of 16 available core and possibly experimental roles.
-The number of players is equal to the number of roles.
-Once signups open, players may “/join” the game and provide a minecraft block to be referred to as (please bold it).
-After all available slots have been filled, the roles will be randomly distributed among players via PM, with no repeated roles.
-Players may still join a backup queue once the game begins. Spectators will be allowed at the Admin's discretion and given the rolelist. They will be allowed to post in thread, but can't post game-relevant information.

Basics
-The last player standing is the victor.
-A player’s role is not revealed when they die unless the death was by being guessed.
-There is to be no communication outside the thread between living players on the topic of the game, no alliances.
-Dead players cannot post. Period. Don't be that guy. I will murder you again. Really don't. I'm warning you.
-Except, Dead Players do get a last post, just 1 though.
-Actions, gifts, and guesses are sent to the Admin.
-No misquoting mod messages.
-Posts containing player actions may not be edited for any reason. Posts not containing player actions may be edited, but only if actions are not added to them.
-If a player fails to submit an action in a phase other than Action Phase, and time runs out, they will be prodded. If someone would be prodded twice in a row, or if they miss several actions over the course of the game (There is no specific number because what matters more is frequency than actual count of prods), they will be replaced.
-Please bold all actions.
-Please title all PMs to me BtM: Minecraft Party (so I can keep it in a folder)

Phases
-The game itself has four phases.
-Discussion is permitted and encouraged throughout all phases.

Challenge Phase
-The Challenge Phase lasts 48 hours, or until all players have challenged or nochallenged and all pending challenges are resolved.
-The game begins on this phase.
-Players may “/challenge” other players to dances or builds.
-Once issued, the challenged player must choose whether to “/accept” the challenge or use a “/deny” (all players begin the game with one Shield).
-Players must specify whom they are accepting or denying, although one can specifically say "/accept all" or "/deny all" to accept or deny every challenge made to the player so far.
-If the challenged player does not respond by the end of the Challenge Phase, the challenge is automatically accepted.
-Each player may only challenge once per Challenge Phase (even if the challenge is denied), but can be challenged multiple times.
-If a player does not wish to challenge, they may instead “/nochallenge”. This allows the phase to end earlier. Players must still choose whether to accept or deny challenges.
-The results of the challenges will be posted at the start of the Voting Phase.
-The victors of duels and dances are determined by which player’s roles are higher on the respective list (see Challenge Ranks below), plus any interfering abilities.

Action Phase
-The Action Phase lasts 24 hours, or until all actions have been received.
-Roles with abilities that are used during the Action Phase can PM the moderator to use them. These roles are the Zombie Pigman, Wither, and Ghast.
-This phase is really boring, so I decided to add some polls during it.

Voting Phase
-The Voting Phase lasts 48 hours or until all players have voted.
-Challenge results are posted at the start of this phase.
-Voting Phase will not end early if a majority is reached.
-The Voting Phase will still occur during the first round, but no players will be voted and no execution will occur.
-Any player who lost a duel or build during the past Challenge Phase is a valid vote target.
-The player with the most votes at the end of the phase will be executed.
-If there is a tie vote, whoever reached their current vote count first will be executed.
-The Skeleton, Wolf, Witch, Villager can act during this phase. The Wolf may also PM an extra vote.
-Players may also select gifts during this phase (see Gifts).
-For each challenge participated in, regardless of outcome, the player earns one gift. Gifts are revealed at the end of the Voting Phase.

Dinner Phase
-The Dinner Phase ends after 48 hours, or after all players have acted.
-Each player is given a plate of food.
-You may “/switch” your plate of food with the plate of another player, consuming an Enderpearl (each player begins with one Enderpearl).
-You cannot switch with a player that has switched with you that same phase.
-At the end of the phase, each player eats the food in front of them.
-Players who eat poisoned food will die, unless they are the Iron Golem, Teleportation Shulker or have Premium Food.
-The Ender Dragon, Guardian, and Shulker act during this phase. The Enderman may secretly switch plates during this phase.
-In addition, if you selected a Water Bucket as a gift, you must use it during the Dinner Phase. If you are correct, that player will be executed at the end of the Dinner Phase. All attempted guesses are revealed at the end of the Dinner Phase.
-If you do not have a Water Bucket, you may still make a guess as to another player’s role as normal. However, if you are incorrect, you will be executed instead of them. This is called a "Death Stake Guess."

Gifts
Spoiler: Shield - grants an extra deny to deny a challenge (see Challenge Phase) (each player starts with one Deny)
Enderpearl - grants an extra plate switch to swap plates (see Dinner Phase) (each player starts with one Switch)
Water Bucket - during the next Dinner Phase, you may make a guess as to a player’s role. If you are correct, they will be executed. You may only choose one of this gift per round.
Invisibility Potion - you are not a valid guess target during the next Dinner Phase.
Golden Apple - you are immune to poison during the next Dinner Phase. Cannot be stolen with a Enderpearl, but can be switched by the Thief.
Diamond - If you are the only one to take this gift, you get 2x the amount of gifts.
Paper - This gift can be redeemed at any point later in the game for a gift of your choosing. You can only have 3 at one time.

Roles

Wither

You are the Wither
You are the master of the undead, and have even found out how to communicate with actual dead creatures.

During the Action Phase, you may ask any dead players up to three questions divided (question length = 100 characters). The dead player may respond to each question(20 characters).
Three per game, during the Action Phase, you may ask the Admin of the current game 1 question about someone who is already dead. Questions against anyone who is currently alive will be ignored. The Admin will not lie about what they tell you; the information is correct.

Ender Dragon

You are the Ender Dragon
You are the final boss, the most feared enemy. You can intimidate other creatures using your power.

Three times per game, during the Dinner Phase, you may intimidate one player, preventing them from acting (challenging), however they must accept all challenges made against them. PM the Admin to use this power.
If you intimidate a player, the intimidated player will be announced at the beginning of the Challenge Phase.

Guardian

You are the Guardian
You are an underwater creature that can use a ray to damage others from a distance. You can use this to force others to do your bidding at the threat of death.

During the Dinner Phase, you may threaten two players. PM the Admin to use this power.
Threatened players must partake in a challenge during the Challenge Phase, or will die.
Only the intimidated player will know that they are threatened.

Zombie Pigman

You are the Zombie Pigman
You have quite a few friends that can lend help in a battle.

At the beginning of the Action Phase, you will be notified of the intended winner(s) of the accepted duel(s).
Three times per game, during the Action Phase, you may change the winner of a duel. PM the Admin to use this power. You may use this ability once on yourself.

Villager

You are the Villager
You collect items from trading with others. You’re strength depends on your materials.

When a player dies by non-execution you take their items and your position on the duel/dance list is randomized. Once per game you may choose to trade with everyone and force a skip of the current voting phase and preventing that the Skeleton Shot, Witch Poison and the Current execution from taking place.

Skeleton

You are the Skeleton
You have a bow which you can use to shoot and kill other creatures. If only that pesky golem wasn’t there...

Once per voting phase, you may shoot one person. They will not survive the shot unless they are the Iron Golem or Shulker. If you shoot the Iron Golem, the Iron Golem will kill you instead.
You can only shoot losers of duels/dances.
Additionally, you also gain an additional arrow every time you defeat a player in a duel or dance.
The shooting is silent, meaning it does not reveal your role.
You cannot store more than 1 arrow at a time.
You start off with one arrow.

Shulker

You are the Shulker
You can shoot levitation orbs, teleport, or turn into a block. You’re very versatile.

Each dinner phase you may choose between 3 modes; Attack, Teleportation, and Block Modes
With Attack mode you are moved to the top of the duel list and bottom of the build
With Block mode form you are moved to the top of the build list and bottom of the duel
When Teleportation mode in you take a neutral stance in the middle, and are immune to the Witch and the Skeleton.
You start in Teleportation mode.

Ghast

You are the Ghast
You can use fireballs to destroy other creatures buildings.

At the beginning of the Action Phase, you will be notified of the intended winner(s) of the accepted build(s).
Three times per game, during the Action Phase, you may change the winner of a build. PM the Admin to use this power. You may use this ability once on yourself.

Bat

You are the Bat
You are generally ignored, but you can fly around to see what other creatures are doing.

You will be notified whenever the Zombie Pigman or the Ghast interferes in a challenge.
You will be notified of any secret plate switches.
You will be notified of the original target for the Witch. (Not post-switch)

Witch

You are the Witch
You know how to make potions, specifically, instant damage potions. You can slip these into other creatures food to kill them.

You may poison a player's food during the Voting Phase. If they eat it, they will die during the dinner phase. PM the Admin to use this power.

Player

You are the Player
You’ve played this game for a while, and know a lot about the different mobs. This makes your guesses more accurate.

Whenever you guess a player's role, you may also submit a secondary guess to the Admin for the same player. If the secondary guess is correct, it will be displayed as your submitted guess, otherwise, your primary guess, whether correct or incorrect, will be displayed. Whenever you win a challenge, you may submit a third guess the following Dinner Phase.

Wolf

You are the Wolf
You are the leader of your pack, and can use your other pack members to get more influence and even cheat death.

Your vote counts as two during the Voting Phase. PM the Admin to cast your second vote secretly.
Once per game, during the Voting Phase, you can get your pack to kill another votable creature, forcing an execution. PM the Admin to use this power.

Iron Golem

You are the Iron Golem
You are the protector of a village, and a force to be reckoned with.

You are immune to poison.
You will kill the Skeleton when they shoot you and won’t die.

Creeper

You are the Creeper
Little do most know exploding only does 20 damage to you, and you’ve found a way to increase your HP… to 21 HP.

Once per game, you may choose a player to explode on. PM the Admin to use this power.
When you use your power, you will be revealed as the Creeper. There are no restrictions on when you may use this power, only that you cannot use it if you are one of the losers in a voting phase.

Slime

You are the Slime
Everytime you’re defeated, 2 more of you come. This lets you overwhelm other creatures… after a time.

Each time you participate in a duel or build and lose, you move up two slots on the corresponding list. Dead players count as being on the lists.

Enderman

You are the Enderman
You have the ability to teleport and pick up things, letting you switch around food.

You may switch player's plates up to 5 times without their knowledge. PM the Admin to use this power. If the Witch dies, you will become the new Witch, taking their position and being only guessable as the Witch.
