A clatter of plastic on wood sounds from the television as the man's eyes widen.

"No...."

He slowly lifts his hand to cover his agape mouth and turns back towards the camera.

"This experiment.... It's not a social experiment at all... it-it's a test for-" *BANG*

The sound of the gunshot resonates through the chamber as the screen goes dark. After a brief moment of silence, a new voice began to emenate from the television speakers.

"Sorry about that. It seems my colleague decided to pry to far into the details of this experiment. Not that it matters too much. Let's try this again, shall we?"

He clears his throat.

"You are apart of a test run of a new technology, a device that can bend the fabric of reality itself, disguised as a social experiment. As you progress through the puzzle rooms, objects will appear and disappear from reality. We are testing how these changes using the device will affect the perception of those nearby. Are there any questions?"

[Multiuniverse]

"Isn't this illegal?"

"Does it matter?"

"What if we don't do as you said?"

"Well considering the first person just got shot by the second, probably not very"

"Then I'll watch as you all slowly waste away without food or water."

“How safe is this?”

"It is actually quite safe. The only conceivable scenario we could come up with where someone would get hurt is if they attempted to interact with an object that has disappeared from this reality. But as long as you all remain observant, there shouldn't be a problem."

(Kinda. But if nobody joins in, I'll start with just the four of you.)

"Before we begin, please help yourself to some refreshments."

You look around the room and notice a table in the corner with a bowl of fresh fruit and five glasses of milk. You don't remember that being there earlier, but also can't remember it ever not being there.

(Reality has shifted. All posts that suggested the refreshments had ever not existed have been edited or deleted. This is the only time you will be notified of such a change, and is the reason for the agreement in the character sheet.)

"Huh, I don't remember that, though I didn't pay much attention to that part of the room."

William walks over to the table and takes some fruit

"How would a person be hurt, exactly, if they attempted to interact with an object that's been wiped?"

"Ooh! I love milk!"
He walks to the table and grabs a glass of milk.

"We don't know for certain, but the theory seems to be that they'll be erased from reality as well. Regardless, you should remain observant so that whatever happens doesn't happen to you."
