"Dlanor, you know what to do," the wizard speaks and sits on a chair he just materialized behind him.

The child between him and the players is still here, and it only takes one swift slash of her sword to bring the theory crashing to the ground.

"Knox #3! It is forbidden for hidden passages to EXIST!"
"You resorting to these kind of theories is PITIFUL. No hidden doors EXIST. They must not EXIST, we won't let them EXIST. It is blasphemy against our GOD."

The culprit used a tool to set the locks, allowing him to be outside of the room when it happened.

"Don't worry Dlanor, I'll allow it," the girl stops on the wizard's command, and he faces the theory bullet head on, "The kitchen door was locked from the inside. The same goes with the window, as the window latch can only be set from the inside of the kitchen. Hope that's satisfying enough for you."

The man smiles and crosses his legs, waiting for the next theory.

I think I found an important clue, but I have no idea how it fits into the locked room...

Wait.

Thorus was killed in the dining room according to the gameboard. His body was moved into the kitchen somehow.

The killer moved Thorus's body into the kitchen after killing him. The evidence that proves it is the bloody white gloved mentioned in the "When the seagulls cry" post. The killer's glove was bloodied when he moved Thorus afterwards.

I don't know locked room stuff...

Sega, after this, will you host another round?

At the beginning of Gameboard 5, there was someone other than William, Thorus, and the culprit alive on the island.

I don't think I'll host another one. But there's game 5 which hasn't been touched too much, so you can try that one if you're bored.

As for your theory, probably not, considering William confirmed pretty much all deaths.
A hint: although the detective cannot see magic, he can be fooled.

So something about the scene was faked...

The murder weapon was inside the room when William entered.

How would the door tampering help the culprit create the locked room?

The door was never locked, allowing the culprit to kill Thorus, move the body in, and escape!

The detective unlocked it, he would have definitely known if it hadn't been locked
But it's true you can never be sure, so here ya go: the kitchen's door really was locked. From the inside.

Fair point. Your theory is still considered a guess because you did not word it like "the culprit escaped through the window as it wasn't raining. The detective was mistaken when he thought the window was locked", but I concede.
The culprit put a small piece of wood behind the window latch before setting it, so the window would remain unlocked while also making it look like that wasn't the case.
All the culprit had to do was leave and close the window after.

Now, I need one of the players to step forward and state the solution to this game in gold (and not in a quote, that's not visually appealing) before proceeding to the last stage of the game.
