What is Tonwall?

Tonwall is a simple text adventure style game that takes place entirely through private messages. Every player creates a character from a small template given when signing up and is then placed in the world. The world of Tonwall is large, and is inhabited by many NPC's, enemies, and other players. Each character will navigate through Tonwall simultaneously. Sometimes interacting with other players without knowing. There is no end goal, but rather the purpose is to survive in the post apocalyptic setting.

The Setting:

In the year 2015, with no explanation or cause, seven billion people disappeared from the Earth and all that remained in the world was a small population of 500 million people. In almost an instant, the world fell into chaos. Planes without pilots crashed to the earth, what remained of government initiated martial law, and communication between the world stagnated. Without enough population to provide infrastructure and agriculture and the entire human race spread too thin across the planet to achieve a new advancement in the species, population continued to plummet. In 2016 however, a new hope was found for civilization. Located in the remains of a old abandoned city was Tonwall. A city of people looking to create a new chapter for the human race. Word of this city traveled through radio waves sent to the four corners of the world. Immigrants flocked to the city looking for a better life.

Good evening, welcome to Radio Tonwall. I'm your host Indie Nidel. In our main story tonight, news of bandits ransacking the southern slums has been confirmed to be accurate. It is not known how the bandits entered the city, however the death toll already has surpassed 50 people and emergency response teams have not yet arrived on scene. The military claims the problem will be resolved soon and the best squad possible has been dispatched to handle the problem. Until then it is advised that members of Tonwall be vigilant as 13 intruders are have not been confirmed accounted for. We will be keeping you updated as news rolls in.

In a suprise move, Tonwall University has announced that it is looking for new staff in light of recent record attendance rates and enrollment. Applicants must aply at the University and will undergo extensive background checks and testing. They say however, that pay is quite handsome.

Immigration numbers continue to skyrocket as 500 new members of the city have been welcomed into the community including a former dignitary! Josef Ferdinand has been welcomed into the city after landing today on the outskirts of town at the remains of the former Roland Airfields. He stated that he is glad to be here, and can't wait to begin working in government.

Everythings being processed. I have to sit down for like an hour or two to process two sets of actions. I usually do it at night when I have some down time and thats why i'm on now.

*crrk* -ood Evening. Welcome to Radio Tonwall. I'm your host Indie Nidel. Following up on a story from earlier in the day, the Tonwall Ministry for Armed Forces has confirmed that the attack on the South slums has been dealt with accordingly. Tonwall Armed forces were called in to deal with the sizable threat, after encouraging The Ministry for Law Enforcement to let them handle the threat as a military emergency. Thus, the threat was put down as quickly as it arose. Final reports coming directly from the tally the body count at 93 dead and 42 injured. Casualties were sent to Tonwall Medical Center and are being treated with the utmost care. The people responsible for the attack as of now have not been named, but are currently under Military Arrest and are being transported by the Armed Forces to be prepared for trial. As of now, Armed Forces have confirmed that all threats have been dealt with regarding the wall breach, however encourage citizens to relay reports of any suspicious activity until further notice. Remember: You are the eyes and ears of Tonwall.

Immigration continues to skyrocket as 500 new citizens join Tonwall including a former Dignitary! Josef Ferdinand reports that he is glad he is here, and can't wait to once again join into government. These new members have not come without criticism as several members of Tonwall gather in town square to protest new immigrants to Tonwall. Stating that each one threatens the safety of the city, and threatens to overpopulate the city. Current Secretary of Immigration Lawrence Raymond has been discussing with the protestors for over an hour as of now, and requests support in his endeavors.

The Democratic Republic of North Korea today announced that it is formally disbanding from what remains of the world stage. For over two years now, the world has wondered whether or not their former leader Kim Jong Un had survived the choosing and today confirmation of his disappearance has been provided, along with the release of all citizens of the Republic. As of now, only 31 countries stand left in the world, and a confirmed 639 cities remaining in the world.
