(if you could perform the factional kill, you being alive would mean that “all threats to the town” haven’t been eliminated yet so the game should only end when you choose town as your alignment)

The only way this doesn’t work is if there’s no Mafia.
Like if Dolphina is another Neutral.
Then I doubt the game would continue when they lynched.
