No, a shit ton of Worst/Best role ideas is discussion. This is going to be a role list. With discussion. But the discussion has Vanilla Town at the top. So basically yes it's Worst/Best role ideas.

Just say it's excluded. I'll try to keep a list in an early post of "Roles I would try to exclude" but I'll probably stop updating after 10 posts.

The alignment of the role isn't stated...
If the description doesn't mention win con, assume it's town.

Grand Idea Mafia Standard Rules

  • Game size: Variant.
  • Day/Night cycles: Variant.
  • Day One lynch enabled by default.
  • Mafia Day Chat enabled by default.
  • Rolls which break forum and section rules are treated as Vanilla Townie by default.
  • No-lynching disabled by default.
  • Players are not told what numbers they have rolled by default.
  • Roles which cannot win are enabled by default, unless otherwise stated by the moderator.
  • If a game roles entirely Town roles, the game is run until players figure out that there are only townies alive.

Variant (Optional) Rules
    These rules may be enabled at the moderator's discretion
  • Allow No-lynching.
  • Nightless.
  • Force town majority while rolling.
  • Any other changes made to the way roles are rolled.

For compatibility purposes, moonbird wrote:
  • This may be run as a separate pool of roles from the first thread for a GIM game.
  • This may also be run as an extension of roles from the first thread, with Role 1 here as Role 6667.

All investigative checks on town members will show "suspicious", any specific alignment check on a town member will show up as "mafia". checks on non-town players are unaffected.

This role is town aligned and told it's a normal citizen.

TOS Role Generator


RNGs any role that's used in TOS (Regular and Coven Versions) and the player must play as that role and gets its wincon.

Sorcerer can be any alignment, decided by the mod. As long as the sorcerer is alive any action posted in the thread will happen regardless of any player's roles/game mechanics.

On N1 pick a player. Every person this player visits (including transportings, multi-targets etc) is doused. You may ignite at any time in the game and kill everyone your target visited in the game and the target themselves if they are able to be killed by an ignite.
