Guide to not putting stupid things in GIM

Recently, the GIM thread has been... well, to put it simply, it has been filled with roles that not even the RI forum could come up with. In a small effort to keep a superiority complex over that section, I would like to provide a few guidelines on how to not do the dumb.

Also, it's totally a coincidence if I only end up linking to posts from a single person. They just so happened to be incapable of not doing dumb things in basically everything they post.

1. Roles that single out players.
   
   Aside from the obvious problem of "What happens if the player isn't in the game?", it's just not interesting or fun to have roles that specifically want to kill a certain player, default to killing a player, etc.
   If you really want mechanics to single out a player, just put an executioner in the game. Not that it's any fun either.
2. Roles that can't die
   
   One of these rolled in a GIM a while back, and the only reason it was able to die is because the host decided to give it the ability to turn off its invincibility, and god tier play from scum convinced him to take it down.
   It should be obvious why this is a bad idea though
3. Post Restrictions
   
   It's just not interesting or fun, and all it serves to do is clog the thread with BS
4. Default Win/Loss
   
   Nobody signed up to just be told they already lost, or already won
   Once again, it's just not fun or interesting
5. Additional mafia alignments
   
   GIM is a large thread. If you want it to be multiball, the only additional mafia roles that should be added are alternate mafia heads that just take half the mafia rolls.
   As it stands, the odds of there actually being more than one mafia that both actually have even a small chance of winning is about 0
6. Changing other roles
   
   A role is a role. It's not a "here are 4 roles". I could understand some roles that come in a pair, but that is the only exception I would ever allow.
7. Whatever this is
   
   Go fuck yourself. Nobody is ever going to actually do that, all that happens is we roll our eyes and reroll. And also probably just WotM you from the game and blacklist all your roles.
8. Overly complicated roles
   
   Nobody wants to deal with these messes.
9. Renamed roles
   
   Nobody cares. The thread is just for posting roles, not whatever your stupid joke is.
10. "X rolls instead of this"/"X can't role"
    
    Just copy/paste anything if you really want it, and the latter isn't even a role.
11. Changing overall game mechanics
    
    This is a thread for roles, not games.
12. Reference to other games
    
    We aren't going to go and look up other games to get whatever these things are. Just quote the rolecard after the game ends if you like a role.

Ehh, GIM would certainly be better if this was followed.

At most only a few people will even consider this before making a role.

Shame, it'd be really good to improving GIM.

Actually I didn't see this thread when I made that but here's my feed back on this:

I feel incredibly singled out by this post. I almost feel like you just looked up every post I made in the thread to use as examples. Firstly:
1) I'm not the only one making shit roles so don't make it look like that's the case. You might as well have titled the thread "lol mdb1023 is making shitty roles"
2) I like being creative. Gim and is meant to be unbalanced and ridiculous and that's what I like to put into making roles there. Don't like it? Sorry, but if you're ever hosting a gim and one of my roles rolls and you don't like it, just reroll it. I honestly wouldn't know or care.
3) there are currently 6624 roles in gim, so if anyone posts a role that you think is shitty, who cares!? there's such a slim chance of it actually rolling that it really doesn't even matter.
4) next time I'm doing something that you don't like, send me a PM or message me on discord about it and talk to me man to man (or woman) instead of being a complete asshole and calling me out and embarrassing me in public. That's just rude and disrespectful and honestly is one of the many things that makes me feel unwelcome in this community.

Now, I'm going to continue having fun and being creative with my role ideas. I'll keep in mind some of the feedback which you've publicly given me to heart, and if you don't like it, dont add it in your future GiM game if it rolls!
