Three new rules have been added to the Rules and FAQ.

They are as follows:

-You are not allowed to get a replacement in one game to join another. Make sure when you sign up for a game that you are interested in it.

-You are only allowed to play in two games at a time - period. One CFM game and one regular FM game/Special FM game. If you are playing in two games and replace out of one of them because you cannot handle it (Or both of them). We will let it slide the first time. If you do it a second time (in a row) - you will be limited to 1 game at a time for your next two games you play.
If after that time you continue to play two games and replace out a third time: You will be limited to 1 game permanently.

-You are not allowed to advertise other FM games in the FM forum section. Meaning: If you are Moderating FM games on another forum - you are not allowed to post in this section advertising your game.

First Rule: It is unfair to the Mod running the game and it is unfair to the other players of the game you're replacing out of. We realize there might be a game you're more interested in, which is why we try to announce what games we intend to run ahead of time.

Second rule: We've found that people are trying to bite off more than they can chew. Two games is the maximum limit - no exceptions. Again, it is unfair to the Mods/players that you have to replace out of a game because you cannot handle it. We will be keeping track of people who replace out of games. We realize life gets tough sometimes, which is why we will give a little le-way when it comes to emergencies and such. Please just make sure you can handle two games before you sign up for them.

Third Rule: I think this one is pretty obvious. But if you have questions about it, let me know.

These rules are in place effective immediately. If you're in games that conflict with these rules - please send me a message and we will figure it out together.

Update: If you're currently in 3 games: (CFM/SFM/A regular FM game), you may finish out those games. After you complete one of those games, you may not join another until you finish your second game.

Special FM games are players choice: Meaning you can either play in a CFM game and a Special game or a regular FM game and a Special game. Either way you can only play in two games at once.

I'm adding something to the rule below. It will be in bold.

We have replaced the old Role cards with TheCows new Role cards. We feel these look nicer and much more organized than the previous ones.

As you have probably noticed by the lack of a BBcode bar in posting and PM's, BBcode has been disabled (see the Announcements thread viewtopic.php?f=11&t=25235 or more information). If you need to do a vote, simply use /vote without bolding it - it will still count.

BBCode is now on for everyone.
Trusted users will be the only ones that will get to use the [img] tags.

To become a Trusted User you have to have at least 150 posts and be in good standing in the Forum.
Go to "User Control Panel. Click the "Usergroups" tab. Scroll until you find "Trusted Users" group.
Click on the dot beside it and Select "Join" at the bottom and click submit.

You have to be approved to join.

TFM11 signups are now live. This one's suggested by Nighthawk101. I thought I'd do a short game while we decide a new moderator.

Alright, so. I'm not exactly announcing my next game so much as a game Metrion and I have been working on. This is going to be a closed setup game (making it SFM 7, for those wondering). We'll be co-hosting; Met will be the "main" host and will be hosting the Mafia's night chat and I'll be backing him up with... pretty much anything he needs. This will be a 35 player game, with no whispers.

For those who don't know, a closed setup game is one in which no one knows, well, anything. We will be using roles that may or may not be familiar and there will be no list of role cards to help you figure out what everyone does. We expect it will be quite chaotic, so be aware of that before signing up.

Finally, signups should go up sometime on Tuesday. Met will be posting them. Remember that you may only be in two games at once, so if you're already in two games, don't sign up please.

I would like to remind everyone of this rule again.
I realized it has been repeated many times, but some of you need a refresher.

Be Respectful! It’s definitely okay if you disagree with someone/call them out, but be respectful about it. Don’t say hateful things because you’re upset. Remember – THIS IS STILL A GAME. Have fun with it and don’t get to uptight or upset. If you find that you aren’t having fun – Take a break and cool off. If you disrespect other players, you will receive a warning. If you get warned a second time during a single game, you will be blacklisted.
Being disrespectful includes, but is not limited to anything that contain racist, rude, overaggressive, inappropriate, obscene or anything that may otherwise be considered hurtful

The game isn't fun if people are being bashed and bullied. If you are typing something that could potentially hurt someones feelings, don't post it.
If you feel someone is being disrespectful to you - report it to your Mod.
We don't always catch every little thing, we are not perfect. Communicate with us and we will help you the best we can.

We take this above rule very seriously. We want every one to have fun in our games.

The New FM Moderator...

I made a change to the Prankster rolecard to shorten it and make certain situations more clear. The list of pranks will be in the moderator's OP from now on if they choose to use the prankster in their games.

The following changes have been made to the CFM Pitch rules:

1. If your pitch has been inactive for three or more months (IE no posts/discussion) and has a 5 or less popularity vote, it will be moved to the "Closed Pitches" section. If you would like to re-submit the pitch with changes, you may do so.
   
2. If you'd like to scrap your pitch and propose another, please contact any FM Moderator to move your pitch to the "Closed Pitches" section. Once it is moved, you may then propose another pitch.
   
3. If you make any changes to your Pitch, you must post in the thread to inform people of what you changed.

What you must include in your CFM pitch in order to receive a poll:

1. You must include the role list you will use.
   
2. You must include the rules you will use. The standard rules can be found here
   If there are any unique rules, you must include those as well.
   
3. You must included the Investigation results you will use, if there are any.
   
4. You must include any unique mechanics in the game, if there are any.
   
5. You must include which role cards you will use. You may link the Standard Role Cards here

I'm sorry for the short notice, but I'd like to get this game up and running as soon as possible.

Changes to the "If you replace out of a game you must wait until that one is finished to join another," are being made.
The goal of this rule was to prevent people from leaving one game to immediately join another. Now I see that this rule is a bit flawed.
We've specified the rule a bit more.

Rule Change: If you're in two games and replace out of one, you must complete the other before joining another game. If you replace out of both games, you must wait two weeks before joining another. If you replace out of one game, you must wait one week before joining another.

I apologize to those in CFM 8 who could not join because of the previous rule. You will be given top priority for backups by the FM Mods if you're still eligible.
