Just so you are all in the loop - we are still setting things up for GFM - there is a lot of aspects to this game and we want to get it all right so there is no problems during it.

We are currently doing the randomizations and setting up the Game threads. I'll be posting the Merge Game thread in a few moments. This will be for the final 25 members. The Mafia for the Merge will be using my Mafia chat.

Rolecards are going to be sent out shortly. You will have 24 hours to confirm your spot.

Reminder: Do not talk about your district to anyone. Not even someone from another district.
Do not share your rolecard with anyone. Not even from someone from another district.

If we catch anyone doing this, there will be consequences.

If you have a question - speak to any of the moderators. We will all be communicating as these games go on.

Since I have had numerous people ask me this, let me clear this up.

The game will take place in the mafia chats so that other games cannot see the contents. If you see the mafia chat, that does not mean that you are mafia. That means that you are in the game.

Mafia chat itself will be done through Quicktopics - that will be set up by the moderators and arranged with mafia members before the first night.

Everyone has confirmed their spot. Iggy/Invenio/Metrion will be starting each Day/Night at the same time.
Day 1 will likely start later today when they are all online - so prepare yourself for that.

I now have access to all of the Mafia chats just in case.

I will be helping Metrion with his district - primarily with whispers - but if another Mod cannot make it on, I will be able to help out.

We appreciate your patience - this is a hard collaboration for us since we are all on different schedules. We will start the Days as soon as possible.

Update: I've added a FM Mod Key to the end of the FM Game Archive.
This was LeScrafs idea - he gets the credit for that.

It shows each FM Mod in their color for reference and a link to each of their profiles.

If I messed something up - you're always welcome to let me know - politely.

Time for another CFM pitch! Some of you may have noticed that Scraf's pitch has been moved to Closed Pitches, as I'll be co-hosting it with him. We're finalizing the details now and will likely post sign-ups in the next few days. (I'll post an announcement the day before to let everyone know to be on the Lookout. )

After some discussion with the other mods about the Role Cards Thread, I've gone through and made some spelling and grammar edits in an effort to clean them up and make them more clear. No mechanics have been changed; everything still works the same way.

If you notice I've missed anything or have any questions/complaints, feel free to PM me. I want our Role Cards to look spiffy.

So the day we've been waiting for has arrived! With the GFM merge here, I can safely announce that the signups for LeScraf's pitch, The Glorious Evolution, will be up tomorrow (June 2nd) at 6:00 PM EDT (UTC -4).

Only those currently dead in GFM will be permitted to join. I'll likely be looser with that requirement for replacements, but will still prioritize those not in a game.

So we've talked a bit and I've been thrown into the ring to host Episode 7. Not sure exactly what I'm going to do yet, but it's probably going to be the most normal game I've ever hosted.

ObiWan will be out starting the 18th. I will be taking over moderating duties of GFM at that point if it is still going.

I then leave for camp on the 26th. As Metrion is done with school on the 24th, I will transfer over moderating duties on the 25th at that point if it is still going.

I leave camp on July 1st and at that point I will announce when signups will open. Likely the 2nd or 3rd, but I will give at least 24 hours notice in any event. I won't be home until the 5th (our family vacation overlaps with camp) so the game will not start until that point.

A decision was made by TurdPile a while ago to delay the game requirement until Episode 8, if we decide to do it, because the reaction was so mixed. So Episode 7 will be open to all (excluding banned/blacklisted accounts obviously).

Rickdaily12 has been removed as an FM Mod.
This decision was not made lightly in the least - the other FM Mods and I have been discussing it for a while.
We all love Rick...but the fact of the matter is we need a FM Mod who can be present and Rick currently isn't.
Rick has been a wonderful FM mod and a great part of this community. I do hope he returns eventually.
Sometimes life just hits us hard and there's nothing we can do about it.

I bet you are asking yourselves, are we getting another FM Mod?
I will be opening sign ups sometime after I get back from vacation (I get back the 28th).
Do not worry - you'll have plenty of time to prepare your application.

Please do not bug the Mods about when the Application process will take place. It will be announced.

You may prepare your application ahead of time if you wish - but the main post with some suggestions will be posted June 28th.

Do not send any FM Mod your application - they may only be submitted through the FM mod application thread I will create.

As to honour the canning of Rainbows Revisited, I am opening another Special FM tonight. A game like no other and one I've been very excitedly been working on in my absence. A new genre of game - Small Town.

Be prepared as it could be up in 10 minutes to an hour. Anyone may join, I will use Quicktopic if I have to.

We had an issue during GFM with an alternate account being used to circumvent a forum ban. For this reason (among others), we are adding the following rules to the Game Rules:

• Any alternate account of a user (and/or main account if the account is an alternate) must be declared to the game's moderator during signups or when the account is created (if created after the beginning of the game). This information will only be shared with other Forum Moderators, Global Moderators, or Administrators (including Developers), and not the general public. Failure to comply can result in removal or blacklisting from Forum Mafia, in addition to referral to the Administrators if the situation warrants.
• All rules for the Town of Salem Forums apply and are superior to Forum Mafia rules. Any attempt to circumvent a ban can and will result in removal and/or blacklisting from Forum Mafia.

The first rule will apply beginning with Episode 7. The second rule has always been in effect, but we thought it was obvious.

I will be hosting 6H 7B shortly. Although the episode 7 signups have not yet gone up, we have decided that we will begin labeling games with "7." Do not worry, the official episode should begin in about two weeks when Iggy returns from camp.
If you want to join the official game, please hold off from signing up in 7B. You will not be able to replace out of 7B just to join the episode.

Signups will go up Tuesday, 6/23 at 5:00pm EDT.

Fantasy FM will be starting with Episode 7B. Signups will be posted this afternoon - there is no player limit and the signups for 7B will end 24 hours after the beginning of Night 1 in Invenio's game. The signup thread will continue to accept new players for future games, but if you miss the halfway point of 7B's night 1 you will not be eligible to choose a player for it.

If you want to see what Fantasy FM is, see the discussion thread. I'll be modifying it a bit from the initial proposal based on feedback - removing the official "draft" and letting participants choose any player to win - you will get points based on the final result. Please note that you will not be able to participate in trades if you are in the game - you will be recorded as choosing yourself and you will get a bonus for playing.

CFM6 has been over for a few days, so I guess it's time to announce my next game, 7C! It even has a special name (Hydra, for those wondering) and will be a partner game, so if you are not interested in working with another person who will be randomly decided, do not join.
