roleblocking is pretty good of an ability imo, although typically needs to be used in tandem with something to be really effective. also, if you're claiming roleblocker as scum you're either doing it horrifically wrong or desperate as hell (alternatively - bizarre gambits). you don't want to have a main ability be directed and scrutinized

does the outsider receive any information on who they've been changed wincon wise for neutral killings? i presume they would, but it isn't mentioned

I'm so sorry I'll say something decent now.

This is a good answer to kingmakers. The win condition doesn't look too bad especially if the game prolongs. The Outsider can't claim for the easy win which is what a lot of certain neutral benigns and evils often do. I'm a bit skeptic about the roleblock but I have no alternative suggestions and otherwise the role looks great.

So what I'm getting it changes to the alignment of the one that's losing (unless the NK gets you which is pretty rare)? Kinda sounds like it would be an annoying role to get.

OK, so here's what I'm thinking.
The Outside needs an ability to help Town, help scum, and to help itself.
Looking through the possibilities killing roles and pure investigative roles are out of the question.
Both support and protective roles could work, however, protective roles would not aid the mafia that much. This is because of the fact that the chances of their being a vigilante late game when Outsider joins Mafia is very slim.

The proposal I'm having is a modified Marshal. In essence it would be a rolestopper that is limited to only stopping 1 visitor a night and not all visitors. It would be Marshal but expanded to guard from all roles that are not Transporter (It's a little weird to have Trans blockable by this) basically.
It's the only protective role that i can see working for the Town, Mafia, and NK wincon. This also kind of keeps with the theme of being a roleblocker a bit, it's also a bit of a supportive role too and not purely protective. For Town it means a lylo protective, for Mafia it means a shield from certain town roles, for SK it means a personal protection from most roles especially investigatives.
The only problem is pre-late game. The ability is not great for a role by itself with no clear wincon. It may need something else prior to alignment confirmation to help it. It is still vulnerable to TK and Mafia with no way to protect itself from them.

Perhaps a possible solution I see is to give it a 1-shot shield like witch, that way they get attacked by NK and still convert to them early game without dying but allow them to still live the first Mafia or Vig shot.
The other option I could see is incorporate the mechanic I had for turncloak where if the TK or Mafia attacked them they get converted to their alignment then and there, but that means a possibility of 5 coordinating Mafia night 2.
