You're right about FM Discussion adding to post count, but not everyone uses Discord and/or wants to be in the Discord server. I use Discord with my irl friends, but I'm not interested in joining the FM Discord server.

True. Also, what's the point in disabling post count? If someone has 5,000 posts in Game Threads, they still have the posts regardless if post count is enabled or disabled.

I didn't know that. Learn something new everyday. I would like to see FM Bot used in a game sometime in the future. Doesn't matter to me if it's near or distant future. All that matters to me is that it's used again at some point.

generally its if any player quotes a direct mod message, since they dont want players to try to meta based off of "he's probably town because this does actually read like a moderator message", like the time a newbie in nfm was modkilled for quoting a mod message as medium
