Why is the Bomber Neutral Evil? If it truly were Neutral Evil, anyone who is not Town would win if it wins. Also, it would win with everyone except Town. Shouldn't it be Neutral Killing?

It used to be Neutral Killing but I'm pretty sure it was moved to Neutral Evil because it's bad taking up a killing slot.

Neutral Evil is pretty loosely defined. In essence, it's just any role that has a wincon that's self-interested (Witch can't win if it's dead, Bomber just needs for itself to win). Executioner and Jester follow the same rough guideline in ToS, which is what this site is based off of.

Personally, I dislike Bomber as a role because it just makes the game dynamics so different while being forced to completely rely on others for its action to succeed, but w/e. That's just opinion.

It doesn't kill people though, it either wins or doesn't. SK always kills people and Arsonist is likely to as well. More importantly Bomber needs NKs to set off the fuse, having it roll in their place is backwards. Also double NKs isn't done like at all anymore, nor does Bomber even have the standard NK wincon.

These are all reasons it's not a NK any longer.

The position of Bomber has always been a hot topic since its creation: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=8063&p=182509 Gameplay wise, Bomber doesn't steal the Town from the info they can potentially use unlike other NKs which is basically self-destructive in that position. I am honestly happy with its change.

Anyway my question: So I actually couldn't find a post that adresses this (might just be me being blind) but what roles are considered unique? I am asking because I remember some mods making Witch unique for example, although it was really old. I know today's rolelist make it so that the definition of unique usually isn't needed like the Town Power slot but I am curious.

Most of the time roles being unique or not is left to the mod in their OP. Although for the most part we all have the same roles defined as unique.

I have 3 suggestions found below:

Suggestion 1: Addition to FM Game Rule #19

Spoiler: If a player replaces out of a game because they are victim of another player breaking the FM Game Rules or the General Forum Rules, they should be exempt from FM Game Rule #19 which states that you must wait 2 weeks to join another FM game after replacing out of one.

This suggestion, if implemented, would particularly be used for cases of Global Rule #7 and FM Game Rule #3 being broken. Both rules deal with respecting other users.

If a player believes they are victim of another player in the game breaking a rule, they must send a PM to the Mod in charged of the game that contains the reason for requesting replacement along with evidence (quoted posts with explanation if necessary) that shows that they are victim of a rule break. The FM Mods will evaluate the evidence, question the perpetrator (if necessary) and vote on a ruling. FM Mods playing in the game of question will not be allowed to vote.

Replacing out because your teammate gamethrew should not qualify for this exception because that would mean that someone else would have to replace into a game that was ruined. Ex: Player A (Mafia) requests replacement because Player B (Mafia) ratted out all the Mafia members. Another player then has to replace into a game that was already ruined for them.

Reasoning for this suggestion: If a player requests replacement because someone else harasses them, they should not have to be penalized by not being allowed to join another game for 2 weeks because they were harassed by another player. Currently this is not considered an "emergency".

Suggestion 2: Stricter enforcement of Global Rule #7 and FM Game Rule #3

Spoiler: Stricter consequences need to be enforced if a perpetrator is found guilty in Suggestion 1. It's clear that toxic players do not learn from their wrongdoing. Perhaps blacklisting a player for 3 months because they harassed another player in the game should make them nicer because they won't be allowed to play FM for an extended period of time if they aren't. The punishment should become harsher for every additional offense, and perhaps a permanent ban if they break the rules too many times (I think 3rd offense would be the right time to give the permanent ban).

Suggestion 3: Avoiding Clutter

Spoiler: A separate thread or subforum for suggestions. I can see this thread getting cluttered very easily if there are tons of suggestions that appear, along with questions and answers to questions.

Not yet. It could be needed in the future, depending on how much this thread is used now that suggestions are involved.

1-2 themed games with game changing mechanics (potentially bastard) and the rest of the games that are run are standard with slightly altered mechanic changes or setup variants. amount of players and roles are up to the mod running it.
