Have you ever wanted to discuss the winrates of Arsonist, only in old Gaelic metaphors about cheese? Then this is not the place for you.


Basically, this is an generic mostly unofficial chatroom for (hopefully) chilling and connecting with your fellow FMers. Any sort of faster paced chatroom talk that's more shitposty than generally accepted on the forums- put it in here. Spiritually connect with your fellow FMers, and take some memes from Arc for the way home.

BEFORE JOINING, READ THIS:
- To join the FM Discord, you must send a PM to a FM Moderator on the forums or on discord. You will not get into the server any other way.
- Identify yourself by either joining with your forum username or announcing yourself when you join! We need to know who's actually in the chat, after all.
- All FM rules apply! This includes ongoing game rules and harassment rules!
- Don't assume mods are online just because they show as online in the sidebar! If public mod action is required, tell a mod directly, or type @Mods if you're desperate for any online mod to help you.



Chat Rules:
- Standard FM rules apply. Do not use timestamps on Discord to angleshoot in games, do not spam in chat, do not harass people, etc.
- As expected from the above, players who have been permanently blacklisted are not welcome.
- Do not talk about ongoing games
- DO NOT TALK ABOUT ONGOING GAMES.
- You must join under your forum name, or a recognizable nickname.
- Don't spam (this rule is a little loose, but if it takes up more than half a page, don't do it)
- Mass pings (@everyone and @here) are disabled because of the possibility for abuse. If you want to recruit for a game, then ask a mod to do it for you.
- Mods have the ability to ban problem users, delete suspect messages, assign roles, and mute users or entire channels if need be, among other things. If a problem comes up, contact a mod first in PM, or ping @Mods if there's an urgent situation (spamming, gore, etc).


Bot guide
Spoiler: Several bots are used on the server, with different functions. Please restrict their usage to the #botzone channel when possible, and do not try to talk with them unless they have a chatbot feature included.

Mirai (sometimes called Bot-chan, nicknamed FMBot):
- All commands start with ] or }
- Primarily used as a modding bot
- Post ]help publicly or privately in PM for commands

Tatsumaki:
- All commands start with t! or t@
- Post t!help publicly or privately in PM for commands
- Used to record levels and make unique profiles for every user
- Levels are determined by how much you post. Please keep commands to #botzone.
- You can get server points by just posting, but they're mostly just awards for who posts the most. (You can also win them if you win games of Mafia on the discord!)

Mee6:
- Modding bot
- If you type !news, it bring up the newest unread post in FM Mod announcements!

Diobot:
- Made by Varaus, the bot overlord
- Doesn't have any commands in particular, but does post memes if you say the meme name
- Will Scream

Channel guide:
#fmzone - general chat
#mafiabot - used for mafia games run on the server
#botzone - used for any bot commands
#roleplaying - meme chat
#music - posting and discussing music
#fmnews - mods post in here if there is an announcement!
#pokemon - any discussion related to pokemon
#botzone - feel free to spam as many bot commands as you want here! (this is the only place where you can use most bot commands)
#mobas - discussing mobas
#the-game-lounge - organizing events and online games with other people in the server
#fmvoice - chat for typing things related to voice
#??? - this is a secret channel

Might join later, on mobile and have never used Discord.

Discord is a lot better for a public chatroom with limited participants. It's somewhere between Skype and IRC in terms of accessibility, which is pretty nice for somethign that's just meant for the FM community as a whole.

There are actually 78 people in here, wow!

Since Discord logs every new account separately, don't panic if you've been kicked. There are a lot of duplicates floating around. I just cleared out a few earlier.

Yes its broken. Servers or something.

I'm able to use Discord fine though. Unless the server problem was fixed and I didn't realise it.
