Literally the same. :P

Trauma Patient never gave an announcement either. But it was put down by the rogue vig (who played by his own rules) before he could remember unfortunately.

Kind of. It's very specific.

otherwise it's a town protective

also do you realise how massively powerful it is for a townie to be able to soak up a kill?? like, imagine being this role and choosing scum, lynching them tomorrow, and being so vocal that scum feel like they're forced to attack you, or baiting a kill and taking someone down with you

good theoretical play while still being a possible claim for scum imo

this role gets me so hard aaaaaa

Can we change that to something that doesn't inspire gamethrowing?

What's wrong with that?

You know that the town will triumph. Not think.

And yeah, this role offers an excuse to be immune and a reason to have pursued a mislynch. It's a really solid claim and doesn't really fit chiefly into any alignment making it a shoe in for support.

You know what would be even better? Guessing who gets lynched AND baiting an attack. You don't even die, but you take a scum out anyway.

I find reads lists cumbersome to produce, but at the same time they're helpful for establishing associations. The scum can get away with a lot if they have no obligation to acknowledge or make reads on each other, and can basically avoid interacting at all.

Tbh in NFM 2 there was such a huge emphasis put on the importance of reads that I thought they were way more critical than they really are for catching scum and wasted so much time PbPAing everyone.

NFM2 didn't have near as many people though, so it made more sense to do it. When you have to look over 25-30 people, it just gets sad.

I like read lists.

Is it the best way to present reads? No.

I think the best way is to present reads on one or two players under suspicion with detailed ISO reads.

However, read lists are an excellent way to generate discussion. Often they take a long time and are very boring to do, but they provide a general overview of everyone.

It could also serve to tell someone who is Town that their play hasnt been very pro-town but not among the scummiest so they arent so under suspicion as more scummy players.

Maybe adding it is a good excuse to scrap regular Amnesiac? :)

Medium should stay non-unique as ICE says.

Now THAT Herald is nicer-looking.

I like this actually.
If Double goes well I mean we can just replace Amnesiac with Trauma Patient and have it lose the public reveal.

lessons i think the community as a whole should get to know better:
1. it's okay to take breaks and you shouldn't feel obligated to play and join games when you're feeling burnt out or tired
2. the town isn't perfect, and neither is scum. sometimes people do stupid things, and you should try to read beyond just their actions.
3. know your limits and when you should replace out of a game
4. don't be a dick just to be a dick

thoughts?

To add onto that above comment I made Trauma Patient also provides more claim space for scum.
They can claim a role like Sheriff and say they were a Trauma Patient and didn't become a Sheriff until X night so they don't need to make up previous night results.

In before the first Trauma Patient, not the poor Dizzy because he never remembered anything, becomes a Citizen. 8-)

Wills should be considered, but not treated as gospel. After all, they are out of date pieces of information, though when updated properly, they're a good mine.

Posting LWs in your day start post is stupid.
