Automatic Javascript vote counter

Postby iggyvolz » Sat May 03, 2014 9:12 am

I'm working on making a vote counter for the Forum Mafia games. I'm not sure if it will ever become official, but I'm working on it just to make everything easier (with over 50 pages in the first game up to day 2, I would say it's easier on moderators to click a button and generate a vote count than go back and check every post :D ). This would be a piece of cake if phpBB provided an API, but sadly they do not so I have to datascrape from the posts.

I'm developing it here. It requires jQuery, which can be obtained by copying the text from here, appending the text "javascript:" (without quotes) and saving it as a bookmarklet, then running it before running the Forum Mafia code. Right now it only takes votes from the current page and puts them in the votes array, but eventually I hope to get votes from all pages, as well as mayor votes counting as 3, and retractions of votes counting as such.

main.init.js refers to semantics that main.js requires main.init.js

I think you mean it to be called main.min.js ?

It's not that big of a deal.. just semantics.
