Rise of the Empire and The Republic

Rules of Conduct:
1. Friendship is Magic- even when all of Equestria is at war we must keep things civilized. So be respectful
2. Abandonment and Treason- Any soldier or civilian found assisting the enemy will be harshly dealt with.
3. An Honourable Battle- Cheating will not be tolerated in any sense, this includes but is not limited to: Quoting mod messages and role cards or outside game communications.
4. Knowing is Half the Battle- If you have questions contact me either in thread or via private messages
5. Laws of the Land- Normal FM rules are of course applied, that should be a given.
6. War Requires Tactics- Each Soldier and Civilian will be required to join in tactical discussions each day at least once every 24 hours. Failure to do so will result in a summoning, two summons and you will be removed from your post. Failure to respond to the first summon will also have you removed from your post.
7. Calls to Action- Label all PMs with “SFM 51” Add Day Action, Night Action, Whisper, Last Will, Death Note, etc as necessary. It must start with SFM 51.
Note that most of the above are disabled unless your rolecard states otherwise.

1. 23 Player Game
2. Dual Mafia Setup
3. Majority Enabled
4. Days and Nights will be 120/48 Respectively
5. Identities will Flip on Death
6. Death Flavour Enabled
7. Mafia Day Chat enabled so long as leading princess has not been exiled (lynched)

Mechanics:
This game will feature popcorn mafia selection between the Mane Six.
Once everything is rolled and cards received, RNG will decide if Luna or Celestia selects first.
Both Celestia and Luna will receive the rolecards of the Mane 6
The first princess to pick chooses between the six then the other princess gets to make their choice.
The second princess to go initially will have first pick between the remaining two choices after the first four have been picked.
Both mafia groups will thusly know what mafia roles the other group has.
Both mafia princesses will have a special skill that only activates upon being Exiled "Lynched"
This skill will benefit town and negatively impact the opposing mafia.

Princesses have 24 hours to respond to their confirmation to begin the popcorn selection process, if either fails to respond both will be rerolled until the process can be completed. Then everyone will receive their rolecards and game will begin.

Once upon a time not very long ago, in the once magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn; the younger brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus, the two sisters maintained balance for their kingdom and their subjects, all the different types of ponies. Long ago the younger sister had become resentful against her elder sister seeing that ponies would play during her sister’s day and sleep through her night, darkness had overcome the younger sister to become the wicked mare of the night known as Nightmare Moon and she soon challenged her elder sister and sought to bring eternal night. Using the Elements of Harmony the elder sister banished her younger sister to the moon and there she stayed for 1000 years. Then on the eve of the 1000th year Nightmare Moon had returned and casted the world into eternal night and six brave mares had to step in as the new Elements of Harmony to banish the darkness within the younger sister restoring her once again to be the princess of the night once again restoring harmony to all of Equestria.

Or at least that was supposed to be when harmony returned, we were supposed to have new heroes to protect us and princesses to guide us…. Ponies celebrated the return of Princess Luna and with her she brought new ideals and ideologies to better Equestria. The elder sister, Princess Celestia, did not see these new changes to be beneficial to the common ponies and discord quickly took root. The Elements of Harmony stepped in to try and ease the rapidly growing tension but soon they too became split between the princesses. The harmony they were destined to being had begun to crack.

It all happened so fast, war was suddenly called and the kingdom had been separated. The New Lunar Republic and The Solar Empire, soon after the casualties began to show. Neighbors, loved ones, family, nobody was safe anymore. Harmony had been broken again and I fear this time it will not return. Our only hope now lies with the rebellion that has formed from the Crystal Empire lead by Princess Cadance herself. She, along with those willing to take the mantle of harmony, have stepped up as our last line of defense to finally end this war and now all we can do is wait for salvation or damnation to come.

Day 1 Starts and will end in 120 hours, Dec. 16th 8:12 PM CST
Also take note that I have changed the game from plurality to majority!

2. What does a dual mafia setup entail? I'm assuming there's two groups of mafia, but do we have an estimate of how many people are in each? Are there other baddies like the neutrals in TOS?
