The land of Nippon has known great evil in it's past. One hundred years ago the white wolf Shiranui and the great warrior Nagi sealed away an 8 headed demon which had terrorised the land unchallenged. Through their efforts peace and prosperity was restored and a breath of life restored to the dying land. However in the next one hundred years the faith of the citizens of Nippon would diminish. The spirits and gods power weakened, such as the one of the Shiranui. Eventually one foolhardy person had unsealed the demon in a moment of ignorance, thinking it all to be a myth.

As the demon emerged from his cave, he cursed the land again. Enveloping it in darkness and despair. Consuming and polluting the nature of Nippon. Digging his foul power in the earth. Calling out to the remaining slumbering demons, that the legendary OROCHI had returned to feast.

As the land and spirits came under assault, their was only one choice. Amaterasu, Mother of All would need to be called upon, and the few remaining people of faith must be given means to protect themselves and what remains of nature. In order to cleanse Nippon again.
