Well, hello folks.

My name's Cyantic, and I'm new to this forum but not forum mafia. I've participated in other games on a different forum, roughly fifteenish games in all on the other forum. I've read several games on this forum, so I know what I'm getting myself into. My play style is probably nothing original, which is that I announce the people I'm most suspicious of and then grill them until I'm satisfied with their answer. I'm also fond of overanalyzing people's actions.

I'm also an avid soccer player, so, I probably won't be on until 9PM Central on Mondays, so I'll usually have my vote in on a target by Sunday or Tuesday.

As for the protectives/investigatives/etc, I'd recommend protectives and investigatives hitting up the more experienced players, see who we can trust and making sure that they survive night one. But other than that, it's day one. I doubt there's really any bad target for anyone at the moment.

Well I don't want to be roleblocked obviously, Transporter would be fine but they should be somewhere else.

Protectives or the other Investigative could visit me, that would be fine, but I think we should spread them out so we don't give the evils a free card.

You are right about Transporter and Escort but I don't know if we should send an another Investigative role after you. We won't have any clues for the next day probably then. This leaves us with the Protectives only and I don't know if we should do this because this will obviously let the evil killing roles roam freely. Can I get some other input on this idea? A general stance would help us to see if it is the right thing to do or not. We don't bite or anything so don't be afraid.

About Metrion wanting to be visited:

I think an investigative should visit him and try to prove him as town for a mass roleclaim on Day 2. Negative: that person could say that they are town, but they are really a Consig trying to get a Mafia member to be roleclaimed to. Also I have some slight skepticism about somebody visiting Metrion tonight as it could be a Vet trap. If a Lookout watches him, an evil killing role would probably not visit him.

I would think the best use for Jailor tonight is a free roleclaim.
Investigatives: Do what you please.
Protectives: Your choice.
TK: Vigiliante: Don't get witched Vet: Your choice.
Support: Escort: Roleblock who you want. Medium: Play Duck Duck Goose Transporter: Your choice
Power: Ret: Play Duck Duck Goose with the medium. Jailor: Jail someone and ask for their role. Lawyer:??

Agreed. Visit whoever you want if you have a night action. You don't have to listen to people requesting to be visited. Who knows if someone asking for protection is a Mafia member trying to get a Doc to waste their ability (Nelly asked for protection, I am not suspecting yet as it's just Day 1)? It also can be a Vet trap. If you want to fulful someone's request, I would choose Metrion over Nelly. Asking for protection this early suggests that they are an important town role, making themselves a target for the Mafia and Neutral Killings. Could easily be a VET trap.

I would prefer that the town keeps the names who they plan on visiting out of the chat. You are just making yourself a target for the Witch and Consort in particular, possibly other evil roles too.

That's not what I mean nelly. I know that this isn't actual TOS, but I have seen a trick like this before when protectives and investigatives know not to visit them and Mafia, SK, etc. visit them, thinking that they are an important town role. Then, they learn they were shot by the Veteran they visited. I have seen it happen before. I usually never listen to requests on Day 1.
