VFM26 | Game Over | Town Win

VFM26: Friendly Neighbourhood


This is a Game hosted by Ralozey and Co-Hosted by moonbird.


1. Rewards: This is not an official episodic game, so flairs and official titles will not be awarded.

2. Inactivity: If a player hasn't posted in the thread within 24 hours, I will prod them for inactivity. If they do not respond to the prod within 12 hours of it being sent, they will be replaced. Receiving two prods will result in an automatic replacement. Posts must be productive to the game and anything else will be seen as prod dodging and will not reset the prod timer.

3. Be Respectful: I will not tolerate any homophobic, racist, sexist, or any otherwise discriminatory behavior. Any type of behavior like this will be punished by being forcibly replaced. Remember that this is a game and if you feel that you're too on edge, take a break from it. I will step in and ask people to calm down if it starts getting too heated. So please, refrain from personal attacks.

4. Gamethrowing: Any attempt to intentionally make your faction lose the game will result in being removed from the game and additionally be dealt with by the moderator. All your actions must be done with the goal of winning as your faction and have a clear, logical explanation for your actions. This can include Jesting.

5. Spam: Do not post multiple times in a row if it can be avoided. It detracts from the game and makes it harder for people to catch up. Use quotes and spoilers to make one large post instead of many small ones as well as using the preview function to look at your post before posting it. I will spoiler excessively long posts at my own discretion.

6. No Outside Communication: Do not use outside methods of communication to disclose your role or any other similar information about this game to another player. Breaking this rule will result in being removed from the game and additionally be dealt with by the moderator.

7. Night Actions: Be sure to label all PMs to me accordingly or you risk the chance that I'll miss the PM and not process whatever you wanted done. The proper way to label them is:

8. Flavor: Flavor should not be used to infer anything or support arguments as it is as the title implies, flavor text.

9. Codes: Codes and Encryptions are not allowed. Signals are allowed.

10. Host Messages: Do not copy and paste anything game related sent to you by a host or a mod or you will be modkilled.

11. Voting: All votes must be bolded and placed outside spoilers or they will not be counted.

12. Fun: The most important rule is to have fun because this is a game and shouldn't be treated as anything aside from that.

Abilities:
- You are part of a tight-knit neighbourhood, sticking together to help eliminate the mafia invasion.

- You may communicate with the neighbourhood using the link below.

Abilities:
- Check one person each night for suspicious activity.

- You will know if your target is a member of the Mafia.

Lynch every criminal and evildoer.

Win Condition
You must kill the Mafia
You win with the Town
You may spare anyone else.

Town Protective

Jailkeeper

Alignment: Town Protective
Abilities:
- Jail one Person each night.

Attributes:
- Your target will be locked, thereby protected and roleblocked.

Goal:
Lynch every criminal and evildoer.

You must kill the Mafia

Welcome my dear Citizen!
I as your Mayor may alert you about a few important things:

Rumors say a group of Mafiosi are about to eliminate everyone in this Town as Coal and Iron can be found right below this place!
We need to keep together and prevent this from happening.
The President gave us permission to hang everyone who seems to be suspicious, I may count the votes and hang the person who most of us voted for.
But be quick about it! Night may dawn sooner than you think and who knows what happens at night?

Well I think I can read Murat with pretty good accuracy D1.

I haven't played with Tilted in a while so idk about them. It would pain me if they are the mafia.

I can probably read you D1 as well or at least I hope so.

So whoever are the town neighbour in there please make it obvious you are town and this game will become a lot easier :]

I am aware of meme phase. I wanted to start the thread with a post which would be a reference to the flavour.

Also we are using discord for neighbours chat and you can use any name there. It was easy to figure out who is "fluffymurat", but I had a small problem with "MaltShake".

I think our day 1 focus should for now be away from the neighbours, unless anyone thinks they can get a reliable read in day1. Lynching scum today would be a great start and I think we should be looking within non neighbors. Not really much to read from the posts below, but I read Ladd and kosmo as probably town (and assuming kosmo is town that does leave only two neighbors to lynch within).

I don't follow you.

You say lynching scum D1 would be a great start then why not lynching in the neighbours which gives us a mathematical higher chance at getting scum, especially since you are already townreading one.

also why do you think kosmo is probably town?

I think the bolded is too self aware and kinda scummy. I don't really think town usually comes into the day thinking "ok now I gotta post about this to start the thread", they usually just post whatever goes on in their mind.

1 scum within 3 neighbours = 1/3 chance to lynch scum within neighbours
2 scum within 10 total others=1/5 chance to lynch scum outside neighbours

Not following your logic here, can you elaborate? Why's it better to lynch outside of neighbours to have a better chance of getting scum?

Also I don't think I have to explain to you guys how big it would be to lynch the scum neighbour D1, we get 2 confirmed town with a chat between them, a scum lynch and we still have a Sheriff and a JK.
