r u l e s :

  • awards - this is not an official game, therefore official titles will not be rewarded.

  • respect - no bully. this should be self explanatory, children.

  • inactivity - if a player has not posted content in the thread for 24 hours they will be prodded. they will then have 16 hours to post or they will be replaced. if someone has to be prodded a second time they will be removed from the game and they will be replaced. if you wish to replace out, pm me.

  • gamethrowing - Any attempt to intentionally make your faction lose the game may result in being blacklisted from future games. This can include jesting. All your actions must be done with the goal of winning as your faction and you should have a clear, logical explanation for your actions.

  • communication - living players must not communicate with other players outside the thread(s) designated to this game. the only exception to this are neighbors, who may speak at night. dead and living players are not allowed to communicate either. no codes, encryptions, or anything that gives people an out of game advantage over other players. Signals, however, are allowed, but aren't necessary due to a mafia day chat.

  • flavor - flavor arguments shouldn't be done.

  • private messages - pm all messages labeled "tfm58 night action" to theparanoidandroid and schultz128. i will accept mafia actions in the chat.

  • voting - bold your votes so they are more easily seen. spelling isn't important as long as people know who you're talking about.

    put votes in a separate line and avoid putting them inside spoilers. unvotes are not required if you wish to change your vote, but are nice to do for my sanity.

  • fun - who doesn't have fun solving a murder mystery? keep it chill.

  • the consultant will be able to confirm themselves as town to one player privately. they may only do this once
  • neighbors may speak at night.
  • mafia have a day chat.

Days/Nights are 72/48
Lynches are majority/plurality
Day 1 lynch enabled.

Setup looks to be townsided. 2 confirmed neighborhoods with townies is amazing even if we don't know who they are. mafia with daychat is not too good for us, but the neighborhoods make up for that. consultant is basically an ic.

if you weren't scum, you wouldn't suggest me voting you would be beneficial for town. you should be fighting for your life, and instead you lie down awaiting judgement. play the game like you mean it, not like it's something you can blow off.

i'm not sure what you're getting at here. consultant claiming now is optimal to narrow down an already small lynch pool and to not allow any fakeclaims at the end of the game which is already a silly scenario to think of. there is no reason to delay consultant claiming as it is essentially an innocent child, and innocent childs always claim day 1.

"It seems unique (mod announced) names are actually just slightly more powerful than ICs (see math below).

One easy way to see this is that an IC is equivalent to a mod announced uniquely named role that claims on D1. Mafia will not counter-claim that claim, so the role becomes essentially an IC.

So the extra power of the unique name comes from the fact they can decide when to claim, with the added risk that mafia may fake-counter claim later. However, math shows that the added power is not that significant.

Now, I suspect ICs are probably less fun to play than unique named roles given the fact that you don't get to make any decisions about when to claim. Unique names become much more powerful in the mid-late game, so you need to stay alive in order to maximize the power of your role.
