Anyways we will have a lynch today. We scum hunt until we find someone we think is scummy and once they reach L-2 they claim. If they claim PR we find someone else, if they claim Citizen we lynch them

Also this is not an excuse for a Citizen to fakeclaim PR. You can soft PR as Citizen, but you hard claim Citizen

Oh hey - before things get too serious with the pointing of the fingers and the stabbing of the backs, I was thinking we could take a moment to introduce ourselves and get to know each other a little better.

This is my second FM game. I've done my homework so I have a decent amount of theoretical knowledge but I'm lacking in firsthand experience. Hopefully this game will help with that side of things.

How about the rest of you? Is this your first game or your thirtieth game? What do you think of FM so far?

I'm a newbie and this would be my first FM game. When you said about me having a rough time in other games, you're slightly right. Not FM but TOS. I need a bit of a break but wanted to sorta get back to TOS, but not TOS officially, so when I found out FM, I thought, why not

I agree with all of this. And quick translation for brand new people ... PR = Power Role (any Town role with a night ability or in other words, "Not Citizen")

Also L-2 (or L-1, L-3, etc) refers to the number of votes needed to lynch someone. Right now we have 14 live players so majority is 8 votes. Since we need 8 votes to lynch, L-2 would be six votes. This is an important number, because there is no trial phase in FM. Once you reach majority, it is all over and so is the day phase.

Be careful not to put someone too close to lynch (L-1 or L-2) early in the day phase. Town generally benefits from more discussion time and will want to keep the day going for as long as possible, so Scum may try to "quick-hammer" to end the day prematurely. Vote Counts will be posted occasionally, but always double check before you vote to make sure you aren't voting someone at a bad time. Sometimes it is better to state your intention to vote later in the day rather than placing someone at L-1 too soon.

And if you haven't already, be sure to read the first few posts on the thread. They are full of useful info, including some of the FM terminology that more experienced players will frequently use to define arguments quickly.
