When the entire town manages to misplay so badly.

Also: Retral QHing people who he knows is town with a reduced majority is up there with other terrible plays like misreading a cop check and Sir not sending in vig targets.

the role arguments -- and flavour arguments for that matter -- could have won the game. The problem was that all of the wagons were pushed by scum.

And also the more reliable players being killed of by their hydra partners or by SPKs.

More like evidence that people have already forgotten about CFM13.

Our rolecards were outdated and Met never sent us the actual ones that we were supposed to have gotten. Plus, STAA seemed to be ignoring me half the time I was trying to clarify. We spent like 20 posts in our QT just me trying to verify to him that we have a vote.

The real reason that town lost was by D3 there was nothing with intellect left besides Arc.

Spoiler: Well, that was something.

I think we would've avoided the lynch if Retral wasn't an idiot. Still... I think that was a pretty impressive performance. Going from confscum with 10 votes on to something survivable? I don't know how things got so bad while I was making salsa. It's just amazing. Feels like SFM 7 - I die due to someone's poor mistake. We were probably going to die tonight anyway (really bloody open protective - who's not going to target that in their right mind), still. Wish we didn't get lynched.

STAA, I don't think this was the best first game for you. No doubt about it - I would have had a much easier time with a more experienced player. But, you weren't exactly dreadful and there was worse out there (Retral and Hip especially come to mind). It was certainly never boring being your partner.

What do I say about this game?

Mafia team is not super impressive, although Arc and Swords will probably help greatly there. Short deserves (and if he isn't then something has gone horrifically wrong) to be lynched tomorrow and I'm kind of happy that Paranoid is scum. It always seemed like something was off about them, like I thought. Sir is town - he's unreadable. Nothing that surprising. Moon's town which is good - they and Edward (which was wrong) were my only solid reads. Everything felt difficult to read.

My two mistakes were antagonizing Mela and not going with the masonry line. But, I don't think I could've known about what would happen with Mela.

Mela's prob gonna death tunnel me for this, but that's cool.

Like I said here, there was no way she was ever going to come back from that. There was no room to actually push across the correct idea that we're being taken on a ride. Which is frustrating, but there was nothing we could do there. Leyva's the TK - either he's going to make a correct move and vig the fuck out of Short or he's going to muck up. I'm not super confident. We probably came out ahead today either way - one town for one scum is a very good trade. Admittedly, the rest of the day is a wash, but what can you do?

I suppose that's my rambling thoughts on the game. I think we did fairly well, all things considered.

Highlights from my ranting to Met:

I really hope I'm not being fucked with.

Called the whole fake Parity Cop before anyone else. Credit?

Once Cyan & STAA got quickhammered everything went down hill and town killed themselves. :maniac:

The minority didn't actually have to hunt for my third hydra member. If any hydra member had been protected it'd apply to all of us. I made that mistake myself because I'm silly, but then I realized it worked in my advantage. Too bad there weren't any protective roles when we died.

Pretty much fucking with town to keep numbers the same. I would have gone for Short next to see what I could learn with them and go from there working both sides. Unfortunate for town to kill off a regenerating shield and all as well as information gatherer.
