Now when it comes to definition of bastard, a role lying to all the town is in fact bastard. So either Metrion has another definition of bastard or Mel is really scum and we have a PC who doesn't claim for who knows what reason. (Definition by mafia scum wiki)

We don't even have the information to speculate whether or not they're town aside from their refusal to claim. Only one of their two claimants is dead so we can't confirm their accuracy, and there's multiple reasons why they might not be claiming. We literally cannot tell unless we lynch or investigate melanora, which is the most likely lynch target right now aside from shortcut or cakez.

Would it be such a bad idea to lynch melanora and see what she flips, and by that judge the accuracy of the PC results? IMO the PC isn't scum or lying to us, because the game's not bastard.
