I'd also agree that Var probably targeted the lookout. I'd assume that Cmitc would be informed if a marshal scared him away, so he wasn't witched onto Elder. This means that Cmitc was probably made to block Varanus. Hopefully Elder has something.

For the first question, the world may never know. For all I know, the mafia has a consort that didn't do anything until now.

so really, if we HAD to mislynch, I would prefer to mislynch a citizen over a possible miscontrol into a Vet, or a Vet claim thats a Vig. That leaves:

I am a very high townread for most people. Also, I am confirmed town to myself. So that, to me, leaves:

as the BEST lynch targets unless more scumposts emerge. Now, Lexiam has just be scummish all game. Cham was confusing, and Lexiam imo hasn't contributed much but his vote. Suckable, on the other hand, was so scummy he attracted an Escort block.

If Varanus scared someone off, that would mean its either a Consort or a Framer. Framer is the more likely of the two as we haven't seen a second RB. Since mafia is confirmed to have either Consort/Consig/Agent, its possible that the mafia could have already known what Varanus's role was, and sent a framer to help who they thought the witch would go after.
