The mafia could plan many different codes, it doesn't have to be at the beginning of the day.
But this will help.
I want more input from everyone on our plans for today.
Can I say a few things here? First, be nice on the forums. Leave suggestions for everyone!

Hello, everyone! Hope we all have a good game!

Lynching day one is silly. I'm not sure about mass claiming but I cannot think of a single argument to the benefit of lynching someone day one.

I think a Day 1 massclaim would never work.


Vigilante claims - Witch controls vigilante to attack a townie.
Doctor claims - Witch controls doctor to heal herself.
BG claims - Witch controls BG to guard herself.
Veteran claims - Mafia and witch never visit veteran.
Investigator, Sheriff, or Lookout claims - Witch can screw around with them, and they become mafia's targets.
Citizens claim - Only roles with an ability are getting attacked now, gg town.
Escort claims - Witch controls escort to roleblock the doctor or another PR role.

I agree with both of these statements.

I agree with the second statement
The first statement I utterly disagree with. Reads are a big part of FM. As I forementioned, I have found the SK D1.
It feels like slant is trying to push the (though minor) suspicion off of himself by denouncing a D1 lynch as "never a good idea".

I don't mind if you agree with those statements, but at least post your own opinion on the matter. You can't just sheep everyone else's opinions. If you do have the same opinions as someone, you can state that you agree with them, but you still need to put a little effort on saying why you agree with them or why you disagree with them.

My opinion about Day 1 lynching has changed. It isn't because of an specific person, it's just that at the start I didn't realise that Day 1 was going to go for 5 whole days. If I get any solid scumreads on anyone in those 5 days, I will be willing to lynch them. I am not willing to PL someone or lynch them purely for their lack of activity within those 5 days.
Sometimes it's nice to just watch the world BURN.

Codes are actually pretty confusing, when you use a code as mafia it is easy because you have a time to say to your teammates what is it but using it as town is very risky for the following reasons:
Too easy code and mafia will spot it.
Too hard code and nobody except you will read it.
Why town should use codes you say... Because we have no dead wills and it is nice if invests/sherrifs reveal their results without revealing their role.

You're talking about town making codes? We have no where else other than this thread to make up a code, and everyone can see it, even scum...?

Yeah, I don't think Town codes are going to work. Because if a member of the Town can figure out the code, chances are a member of the scumteam can as well. Unless it goes to extreme town metagaming to figure out the code, which I am not willing to do.

Correct, though it's not my play generally; first time I've done it. Others on the forum can debate who I'm copying it from, but I think it works in this slow format since there's not much to build detailed reads on.

Perhaps we could start off with a few questions...

What does your reads list usually take the form of?

What do you think frequent posting indicates?

What do you think a Citizen's playstyle should be like?

In a 4v4, 3 maf and a Witch, as a townie, would you claim Witch?

When is usually appropriate for a massclaim?

Would you quickhammer someone you thought was scum?

What would be your first thought if someone voted for three people randomly?

What do you believe to be the weakest Mafia role in this situation?

And lastly, which is better, a nolynch or a lynch with a 50% chance to flip red or green?


On that note, as a Town, we should probably begin reads soon, because we have a few pages to work with.
