If you don't say anything useful to the game, it won't count.

It's day 1, we don't really have any leads except what people say and I can't really tell if people are scum or just new.

Day 1 is 5 days long... we can get a few scum reads.

If you want me to elaborate, I will. I have nothing against a D1 scumread lynch. HOWEVER, I do have something against a D1 scumread lynch in a newcomer FM game. I just feel that with newcomers, scumreads will often be inacurate, and we will lynch a townie.

And I don't mind answering these questions.

What does your reads list usually take the form of? I have never made a reads list, so I don't know.

What do you think frequent posting indicates? Frequent posting could simply mean they are having a conversation, but other than that, frequently talking without too much purpose is a scummy thing to me, but as I mentioned before, innocent townies are bound to do things like that in a newcomer game

What do you think a Citizen's playstyle should be like? I think the citizens should be doing the most general scumreading, rather than looking for who they should use thier ability on. They should pitch in on the conversation, and, well, just be your average citizen.

In a 4v4, 3 maf and a Witch, as a townie, would you claim Witch? I would probably claim witch for two reasons. a) the mafia are less likely to kill me at night, and b) I might convince them that the real witch is a townie and to hang her.

When is usually appropriate for a massclaim? When there are 5 or 6 players left.

Would you quickhammer someone you thought was scum? Maybe, if I thought their reaction would only prove my point.

What would be your first thought if someone voted for three people randomly? Honestly, with jesters impossible, and no such thing as being blackmailed, I have no idea.

What do you believe to be the weakest Mafia role in this situation? Probably the framer.

And lastly, which is better, a nolynch or a lynch with a 50% chance to flip red or green? This is the moment for a scumread lynch.

What is mafia tactical?

It is a mafia alignment which allows any member of the mafia to sacrifice their night action to make the kill, instead of having someone like the GodFather or Mafioso do it.

So does that mean there's a confirmed mafioso or blackmailer? Because I remember mafia tactical being in an NFM game without those two roles.

No, it just means a mafia tactical could roll from one of the random mafia slots.

I feel like I will answer similarly on all of those questions ToSplayerre posed, big difference is I would say
1. Take the 50% chance to flip green or red in most situations
2. Massclaim when it seems right
3. Frequent posting does indicate townie behavior

I'd rather make my own read list instead, it tells more and is more productive imo.

Read through the thread then went through people's ISOs. I'll be modifying my read-list from time to time when there are enough posts to warrant it. TandJ50 has moved up one bracket since I posted it.

If you had to choose between cookieclicker and slantslantslant for one scum, who would it be? Based on their interactions, I don't think it's very likely they're both mafia (possibly witch + mafia but unlikely).

Doesn't feel like you make an effort to look through my ISO or anything. That's what you feel like all the time; you don't put effort into anything. If you were citizen, if I was you, I'd be trying to figure stuff out by posting and making reads or whatnot.

You're a slight suspicion on Macca too, and same with CookieClicker. I agree with them on that.

Write your reads on other players, including me. It'll be very important that you do. There are a lot of inactive players atm, and we can't really lynch them, but you can look at the rest.

My read list will most likely be on percentages, with 100% being confirmed town and 0 being confirmed scum, and 50 at null and so on.

Frequent posting indicates that that person has a lot of time they can use for FM. It isn't alignment indicative, as scum can just as easily be more active and post a lot.

What do you think a Citizen's playstyle should be like?
Citizens should be trying to take the bullet for the Town. They should play as if they are not afraid to die, as well as trying to be as active as they can.

I would, but at that point it wouldn't really matter, as it would require everyone to claim Witch, and the mafia could easily just let the real Witch control them onto a Town during night.

When is usually appropriate for a massclaim?
Honestly, not too sure on this one, but in game without wills it probably needs to be early, most likely Day 3.

Depending on what time in the game it was, if we knew who the other scum members were, then yes I would, but if we still needed to discuss then I wouldn't.

Either they are very unconfident in themselves, or else they are just deliberately trolling, because no one would do that, especially if they were scum

I think the weakest role is probably the Agent, but I haven't had much experience with it and I'm not really sure how useful its abilities would be, so I'm not really sure.

A lynch with a 50/50 chance. No matter what, we would get a scum killed either that day or the other. A no-lynch would just make us have to make the decision later, minus one Town who would have been killed during night.

I normally go from Confirmed Town to LYNCH THEM NOW, and the are a lot of in-between spaces. I try to quote to explain my reads, but they aren't that long normally.

It depends. It seems townlike, but a mafia could try to bring up a different topic when another mafia is accused/scumread. IN oreder to do this, they would have to be active to gain towncred and lead the discussion away.
What do you think a Citizen's playstyle should be like?
Everyone is different. Some Citizens would try to lay low, or others could really push and be active. Because of this, it's hard to tell a Godfather from a Citizen, as everyone plays differently.

If the mafia seem not willing to lynch someone, they are probably Witch. But, if no-on ein the chat seems sure of anything, I would claim Witch. In a 4v4, mafia have probably gotten the information they need to not lynch the witch, so most of the time I wouldn't claim Witch.
When is usually appropriate for a massclaim?
After a few Town die, so PoE is more effective and we can separate everything up faster.

No, Town really needs that discussion time. I would only quickhammer if people are being inactive and I'm afraid they won't be able to hammer.

As I have played TOS, I would think Executioner. But that role isn't here, so it could be a blackmailed signal(Blackmailer works differently in FM), desperate mafia, or bad townie. Most likely a bad townie who thinks they found scum.

A Consort. Yes, it can roleblock important investigatives, but then everyone knows there's a consort, or a witched escort. It would most likely be a consort though.

If it has 50% chance, then I would go with that, as there are less mafia on the list. However, most lynches, especially our D1 lynch, has a much higher chance of flipping town at the moment. More reads would fix this.

Everyone form read-lists at least once d1 even if they're weak lists. It puts pressure on the mafia who can't communicate and will help later to form associations.

Correct, though it's not my play generally; first time I've done it. Others on the forum can debate who I'm copying it from, but I think it works in this slow format since there's not much to build detailed reads on.

What do you base the second and last rows on? I agree with you that Pucca is town.

This may just be because I have zero experience with FM, but pushing for a day one lynch that early and encouraging a massclaim that early giving the mafia targets is not productive at all.

I threw the massclaim idea out as a point of discussion. I do think a massclaim d1 with this role-list would be a valid strategy to put the mafia under pressure, but overall I don't support it at this point. Depending on discussion, a d1 lynch can be very beneficial to sort out associations and generate scum-reads based on who pushes the lynch, who votes, etc. and we have many mis-lynch possibilities with the setup being 11v5 but whether we ultimately decide to lynch depends.
