If the witch controls Escort then nothing is lost as the Vig won't shoot without witch controlling them which is what the witch would want. The idea is witch would try to make Vigilante shoot but they can't while we have an escort, they control one but not both.

It leaves a catch 22 for the mafia to spend a night killing the vigil and leave the TI and protects alive, or leave the Vig alive and possibly have their mafia shot at night, while also the witch will have to do something else as that endeavor is fruitless concerning the escort and vigilante.

They usually just mark the category instead of naming specific roles. Saying "veteran/vigilante/vh" is just a more drawn out way of saying the same thing.

My point is, why have to worry about a Witch or anything happening when the TK could just as easily not reveal their exact role? Witches lose when they die, and I don't think they want to bump into a possibly alerting Veteran, especially when a bomb's still ticking.

Basically bomber can simply claim TK and if they get countered can still possibly be RT so unless we get specifics first it leaves them wiggle room to stall for the win
