He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has risen and is leading the Death Eaters on a rampage at Hogwarts! The war will be a bloody one, but only one side will win!
The only catch is, Lord Voldemort has cast a spell on the school making everybody unaware of who is who! (Except their own death eaters of course)

1) After 36 hours if a player has not posted I will prod them for inactivity. If they do not reply or post within 18 hours they will be replaced. If I prod them again, they will be replaced.

2) I do not tolerate gamethrowing or hateful language. No racial/homophoic/sexist/etc remarks. I want a good, clean game.

3) Do not use any outside sources for the purposes of this game. This includes, but is not limited to Skype, other forums, coders, etc. Code encryption is also not allowed.

4) Days will be up to 120 hours (5 real-life days) with the exception of day one which is 24 hours. Nights will be about 48 hours (2 days).

5) Whispers are not in this game.

6) Death Notes, Last Wills, and Day/Night Actions should all be sent to me with appropriate subjects ("Death Note", "Last Will", "Day Action", "Night Action"). They also should be sent in separate PMs. I won't be searching your "Last Will" PM for night actions, for example.

7) This is NOT an official game and titles will not be awarded.

New mechanics:
Spoiler: Random Town is rolled with three instances of Citizens (Muggles).
Vigilante (Neville) has Jailor's guilt (if they shoot a townie, they lose any other remaining shots).
Spy (Snape) can, once per game, check how many non-town (excluding the Godfather) voted for a lynch.
Agent (Yaxley) can, each day, check how many town-aligned power roles voted for the lynch.
Jester (Peeves) will roleblock everybody who voted for their lynch that night instead of choosing a target to kill.
Transporter (Hagrid) can be roleblocked directly. If they transport themself into a roleblock, the block will not take effect.
If a player is turned by a Capo (Lucius) then they will still have the same number of limited uses across all roles. For example, a janitor who uses one clean then is turned into a Prankster will then have 2 pranks.

As a fan of the dark arts, you have a habbit of jinxing everybody in sight just for the fun of it. These jinxes are harmless, but can appear to be deadly to those unaware they have been jinxed.

Every night you can choose to target 1 player.
Your target's real night results will be replaced with a false night result of your choosing.
Any moderator message you are capable to forge to another player is something that will be overridden should that action actually happen to that pranked player. Any other moderator message will still be shown to them.
The effect you choose will not actually be done; For example, an investigator pranked into thinking he was roleblocked will still receive night results with clues as to which role his target was. However, he will not know for sure if he slept peacefully.
Other pranks cannot be overwritten and if a player is pranked twice by two pranksters, they will get two messages.
If you are controlled by a witch, you will make your target think they "slept peacefully."
You may only choose to prank a target 3 times the entire game.
You can communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.

You win with the Death Eaters
You win with Griphook
You win with Delores Umbridge
You must kill all of Hogwarts

You may spare anyone else

Edited Role Cards (Neutral):
Spoiler: Basilisk

You are a Basilisk
Your alignment is Neutral Killing

"Of the many fearsome beasts and monsters that roam our land, there is none more curious or more deadly than the Basilisk, known also as the King of Serpents. This snake, which may reach gigantic size, and live many hundreds of years, is born from a chicken's egg, hatched beneath a toad. Its methods of killing are most wondrous, for aside from its deadly and venomous fangs, the Basilisk has a murderous stare, and all who are fixed with the beam of its eye shall suffer instant death. Spiders flee before the Basilisk, for it is their mortal enemy, and the Basilisk flees only from the crowing of the rooster, which is fatal to it."
—Excerpt from Most Macabre Monstrosities.

Every night, you may kill one person.
You are unkillable at night. If somebody tries to attack you, they will receive a message saying that you were immune.
If someone tries to roleblock you, you will attack them instead of your chosen target.
You win if it is just you and Lord Voldemort remaining.
You lose if it is just you and Aragog remaining.

Your method of killing ignores night immunity.
You cover up your tracks very well, and you will appear not to be suspicious to Ron as he is afraid of you.
You are unkillable at night. If somebody tries to attack you, they will receive a message saying that you were immune.
You win if only you and Lord Voldemort or a Basilisk remain.

"My father will hear about this!" - Draco Malfoy

You've been hired by an outside source to get your target ____ lynched, at any cost.
Your target will be decided by RNG, but it will always be one of those sided with Hogwarts.

You are unkillable at night. If somebody tries to attack you, they will receive a message saying that you were immune.
You will also receive a message stating you were attacked.
Your goal is to get your target lynched by a majority vote.
If you succeed at this, you've won the game, and will be allowed to spend the rest of the game however you wish.
However, if your target dies at night, your role will become Peeves, and you must die by being lynched as mentioned on the Peeves Role Card.

Your alignment is Neutral Evil

"Wandering around at midnight, Ickle Firsties? Tut, tut, tut. Naughty, naughty, you'll get caughty." - Peeves

Your goal is.... You don't have any!
You just cause mayhem at the school, annoying absolutely everyone.

You win the game by being lynched during the day by a majority vote.
You lose the game by dying during the night.

If you get lynched during the day, everyone who voted for your lynch will be roleblocked that night. This includes transporters, escorts, and consorts. Oh, how wonderful that everybody suffers from your antics!
If a Basilisk voted for your lynch, they will not be roleblocked.

You are Griphook
Your alignment is Neutral Benign

"As the Dark Lord becomes ever more powerful, your race is set still more firmly above mine! Gringotts falls under Wizarding rule, house-elves are slaughtered, and who amongst the wand-carriers protests?" - Griphook

You don't care about the people at Hogwarts, nor do you care about the Death Eaters.
All you care about is saving your own hide, and you'll side with whoever will keep you alive.
Your only goal is surviving the game.
Each night, you can choose to put on a bulletproof vest. If somebody tries to attack you when you wear a bulletproof vest, they will receive a message saying that you were immune. This doesn't work for roles that bypass night immunity.
However, you can only use this ability 3 times, so use it wisely.

You win with Aragog
You win with Griphook
You win with Delores Umbridge
You win with Death Eaters
You win with Hogwarts

Delores Umbridge

You are Delores Umbridge
Your alignment is Neutral Evil

"Not with your quill, you're going to be using a rather special one of mine. Now I want you to write, I must not tell lies." - Delores Umbridge

Every night, you can choose somebody to control, and somebody who you want your controlled player to use their ability on.
You won't be informed of the end result of your controlling, or even if the one you controlled had an ability to use at all!
You'll have to pay close attention to learn people's abilities and use them to make the townsfolk suffer.
Your expertise in magic also taught you defensive spells. You have perfected a magical immunity shield, which shrouds your body.
It will discharge the instant you are attacked without protection. The shield will only work against Death Eaters, Neville Longbottom, Basilisks, and Aragog.
Once the shield has discharged, these attacks will harm you, like anyone else.
The attacker will only know of your immunity to their attack. McGonagall and Harry Potter are immune to this shield.
You are immune to being roleblocked.

You win with Aragog
You win with Griphook
You win with Delores Umbridge
You win with Death Eaters
You win with the Basilisk

Gilderoy Lockhart

You are Gilderoy Lockhart..... or so you've been told.
Your alignment is Neutral Benign

“Am I a professor? Goodness. I expect I was hopeless, was I?” - Gilderoy Lockhart

Recently released from a near-death head trauma incident, with no memory of who you were, the doctors felt it best for you to go home - perhaps surrounded by your friends and neighbors you will remember who you were?

You may become any role that has died, except for Unique Roles.
You choose this role at night, and become your chosen role after dawn if successful.
The role you choose shall become visible to everybody, and you may begin taking actions from that new role the next night.
Once you select your role, you will receive a new Role Card corresponding to your selected role.

To win, you must first select a role - you then win with whoever that role would win with!
As Gilderoy, you do not win just by surviving to the end of the game, you must select a role to win, otherwise you do not win.

Nearly Headless Nick

You are Nearly Headless Nick
Your alignment is Neutral Benign

"I hope I, Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, have never been guilty of cowardice in my life!" - Nearly Headless Nick

Once a Day or Night, you can inform the Game Moderator you wish to channel spiritual energy during a phase.
If you die doing this, your "body" will appear as Cleaned, and you may choose to serve someone the following night for the rest of the game.
You may only perform this ritual five times. You cannot serve people who vote to lynch you.
After you have chosen to serve a master, you may both communicate via 5 200-character limit whispers every Night Phase.
You can also choose to haunt someone's house for your master, revealing everyone who visits that person for you that night.
You cannot haunt your master's house.
You win if your efforts help your Master's side win the game.
You lose if your efforts fail to help your Master's side win the game, or if you die without performing the ritual.

Seamus Finnigan

You are Seamus Finnigan
Your alignment is Neutral Evil

“I am a wizard, not a baboon brandishing a stick.” - Seamus Finnigan

BOOM! Oh good lord, can't you do a single spell without blowing something up?

Each night, you may attempt to jinx someone. Each jinx will last for two nights.
If that person is attacked, the violence of the event triggers the jinx.
Once the jinx is triggered, a warning is sent to the Town that a jinx has gone off.
After 3 following nights, the bomb will detonate, killing everybody in the town while you hide in your shelter.
The only way to defuse the bomb is to kill Seamus first.
You are night immune

Well, the last first few games i played, i have not joined enough conversation and i have not done enough scum reading.

I plan on starting now.

A question for a question, eh?

I care because I have no reason to trust you nor your motives yet and cmitc has shown to be responding to me. Putting 'extra pressure' (as you would) is largely unnecessary from what I can see.

Now, why did you choose to shadow me?

P-EDIT
Cmitc, that's always a bad answer - to soft. I would also appreciate it if you would respond to my earlier post.

Edward, I could ask the same of you about shadowing.

if i did not miss another question, i am pretty sure i responded to your question.

Erravi's post was talking about his desire to appear as town, while my comment focuses on his concern with looking scummy. Two similar things, but still very different in the magnifying glass. I only said "to shadow" because they push on the same fact.

I dont know how other people think about it, but imo, who cares about D1 casual conversation and really couldnt be used as evidence to be read as scum.
