The Rift
-A place where Insanity meets Creativity.-
Don't forget about murder, death, and they have pretty good burgers too.


1) This is not an official game, therefore titles will not be awarded. Bragging right are always in effect however.

2) Please do not quote or copy your rolecard to the thread or to another player, or any other mod message for that matter. Failing to comply means death.

3) After 24 hours if a player has not posted I will prod them for inactivity. If they do not reply or post within 6 hours they will be replaced. If I prod them again, they will be replaced.

4) There may be no whispers.

5) I do not tolerate game throwing. You will be blacklisted from future games if you attempt to do this. Refer here for more on that and the general rules. This can include "Jesting".

6) Please don't avidly spam the thread. No one can get a word in edgewise and it becomes a mess if everyone is doing it.

7) Just have fun and be respectful. Do I really need to tell you this?

8) The game is called Upick. After the game thread is setup you must pm me with the name of your role, this may be anything you wish from Vampire (oh god no) to the Keeper of the Light (oh god no again) there is no limit on the name of your role. Using this name I will craft a personal rolecard for you and the game will start once each player has received their rolecard.

Day 1 begins! Day will end on October 10th 9:30 pm [UTC -3] or when a majority has been met!

The air felt strange, nothing seemed right. Why were you here? WHERE THE HELL IS HERE ANYHOW?! Okay calm down...Surely someone would know right? Looking at the horizon, stained red and filled with white instead of a black night. The soil was something that most were used to, and the vegetation seemed, well, eerie as it was an off color of rust. Maybe it was just Fall? Out on top of a hill was a familiar building to some: a kind of stone henge but it was covered with a stone roof for the most part. Moving up they saw a table with deep engravings and a worn blade resting on it, the ceiling was missing above it in a perfect circle. Odd to say the least.

It seems like everyone was here for some reason; fate, destiny? Who really subscribed to those things here anyway? There must be something bigger at play here. You've overheard the words "The Rift" a few times. What could this mean?

I'm thinking 5/9 town this game, 3 mafia 1 neut. NE most likely. Closed game, possible bastard roles. Something more powerful, unless there's only 2 maf. Thoughts?

I think Metrion is laughing at us. Judging from his past games, there are probably weird Mafia roles (possibly with daychat?) and roles with spooky day abilities.

If it's 5v4 and the NE has witch wincons then we lose after a mislynch. I suspect that 7v2 or 7v6v1 is more likely with any neutral being an evil.

The roles in play are likely to be different, though I wouldn't be surprised if we see current roles with buffs or nerfs.

There may be more mafia members if we have buffed protectives.

No, it's okay. I can totally understand.

That being said, do you think it's likely that this game has Neutrals? Or do you think it could be a purely Town vs Mafia game? (Or who knows, maybe there are no Mafia and just 3 different Neutral Killings that can only kill one at a time, or 2 Mafia and 7 Town, one of the Town members being Traitor?)

Scale of 1 to 10, (1 being Episode level sanity and 10 being SFM7 with more bastard roles and less common sense), how weird do you believe this game would be?

Given that SFM7 explicitly stated that there would be no traitor-type roles I would doubt the existence of one here. However, it also stated that there would be no masons and there were (nerfed) masons in TFM12.
I have no idea whether or not there are neutrals.
With only nine of us I don't think that there will be the chaos from the anarchy game, so 7 I guess.
