1) Be respectful. This should be common sense, but it's worth reminding. There will be NO tolerance on racial/homophobic/sexist remarks, those being punishable with replacement and blacklisting. If any posts/discussions are becoming a little too heated and insults are being thrown around, I'll give a friendly reminder to stay cool. If a specific user is deliberately trying to be rude towards others, they'll receive an official warning. Persisting said rude behavior after an official warning will get you replaced.
2) Do not gamethrow. This basically means: ALL your actions must have your specific win condition in mind. Attemting to undermine your/others of the same faction's chance to win (shooting a revealed Mayor as vigilante, joining the town as witch against evildoers, etc.) will get you blacklisted from future games. This can include "Jesting".
3) Inactivity. After 36 hours if a player has not posted I will prod them for inactivity. If they do not reply or post within 18 hours they will be replaced. If I prod them again, they will be replaced. If you're going to be inactive for a long period, please let me know in advance so I can replace you.
4) No outside communication. All game-related communication between living players must be kept between the day thread, night conversation or whispers. You might not talk with dead players if you're alive or vice-versa unless you're a medium using your ability. Please refrain from the use of third-party programs such as Skype, other forums, etc. to share any kind of info. Break of this rule will end in blacklisting from future games.
5) Please do not spam. Avoid cluttering the thread. Some players can't be online all the time, and spam makes it harder for them to catch up. Try to use the forum fuctions at your disposal (Quote, Preview, Spoiler) so your thoughts are organized in a single big post instead of multiple small ones.
6) Whispers: There are no whispers in this game.
7) PM Labeling: Last Wills - "Last Will" Death Notes - "Death Note" Day Action - "Day Action" Night Action - "Night Action" (Minus the quotation marks)
8) Flavour Text: Do not make any assumptions based on the description of a lynch or kill, for example. Like the name says, it's just flavour.
9) Important Links: Be sure to look at ObiWan's Rules for more info, some of the rolecards I'll be using and the ECO if you don't know how a situation is handled.
10) Titles: Last but not least, this is not an official episode, therefore titles won't be awarded.
Sheriff Results: Spoiler:Mafia members (with exception of Godfather) and framed targets: Your target is a member of the mafia! Serial Killer: Your target is a Serial Killer! Stalker: Your target is a Stalker! Every other role: Your target is Not Suspicious!
Rolelist Variables
Spoiler:
Explanation: The setup is determined by randomly selecting one row or one column from the above table, then filling the remaining 11 slots with 7 Citizens, 1 Mafioso, 1 Neutral Killing, 1 Neutral Evil and 1 Random Neutral. Say that row X got rolled. All roles located in that row would be in play. The results will not be made public.
Example: Column A was chosen. The players are not informed of this. The roles in play, from inside the table, are: Blackmailer, Vigilante, Marshal, Citizen, Enforcer, Retributionist, Tracker, Escort, Janitor
Special Rolecards: (bolded + underlined for changes)
Spoiler:
Hijacker
You are a Hijacker.
Your alignment is Town Support.
Transporting has lost it's touch, moving people from point A to point B got tiring. Instead now you transport people's destinations around in a manner that baffles even the most clever of minds.
Each night you may select two players. The players will instead target who the other one planned to target. Should you hijack a player who has no night action then the other player hijacked will visit them. Targeted players are informed of being hijacked. You may not hijack the same person twice in a row. You may not hijack yourself, that'd be weird.
You win with the Town You win with Survivors You must kill the Mafia You must kill Arsonists You must kill Witches You must kill Serial Killers You must kill Bombers You may spare anyone else
Parity Cop
You are a Parity Cop.
Your alignment is Town Investigative.
You're an inspector, particularly admired for you comparisons between criminals and forming connections among suspects. Always ready for a challenge, you're excited to see what these petty lowlifes bring to the table.
Each night you may question a player. When you question a player you will be informed if they have a connection to the previously questioned player or not. If they are connected then they are of the same alignment (Town, Mafia, Neutral). However, the Godfather hides their tracks too well, and their connections will be Town-Aligned.
You win with the Town You win with Survivors You must kill the Mafia You must kill Arsonists You must kill Witches You must kill Serial Killers You must kill Bombers You may spare anyone else
Enforcer
You are an Enforcer.
Your alignment is Mafia Head.
You've arrived at your destination, at last you will take charge of your own team of Mafiosi. Initially recruited for having an exceptional eye for detail. Finesse that some people miss, you are able to duplicate with near perfection soon after. The Godfather very much appreciated your talents, but told you that you still had much to learn. Honing your innate ability and communication skills over the years you've worked hard to prove yourself, today is finally the day you will show that you are worthy of your gift.
As long as you are alive, the Mafia may secretly communicate during the day. Once each night you may target a member of the Mafia and a person not aligned with the Mafia. Should either role be visited that night by a role which has a directly helpful or harmful ability, you will copy that role and perform its action on your second target, or vice versa. You will do this for all actions being carried out on your targets that night, including self-targeting abilities other than Veteran alerts. You may not target yourself. This ability ignores transports and if one of the targets is Witched, the second target will be forced to visit the same player as the first. The Spy will not see which member of the Mafia you visit, but they may see which member of the Town you visit. You may communicate with your allies each night, for as long as they are alive.
You win with the Mafia You win with Survivors You win with Witches You must kill the Town You must kill Arsonists You must kill Serial Killers You must kill Bombers You may spare anyone else
Underboss
You are the Underboss.
Your alignment is Mafia Head.
You've been sent here with a small group by the Godfather, a mission to take Salem over. You're the second in command and have learned much from the Godfather and your life on the streets. One thing the seperates you from your superior, and you're especially proud of, is your "hands on" approach with your job.
Every day, you may choose to jail somebody. To Jail somebody, you must message your Moderator during the day telling them who you would like to Jail. If you do not do this before the day is over - you jail no one. The prisoner is removed from any night chats they might be and are roleblocked. However, they may send a 1000 character defense to you. While imprisoned, only Protective and Investigative abilities may be used against your target. If you choose to execute your prisoner as the Mafia's night kill, they are roleblocked and killed, and their last will is removed. This does not ignore night immunity. This method of killing resembles a regular Mafia kill. You may execute Night One.
You win with the Mafia You win with Survivors You win with Witches You must kill the Town You must kill Arsonists You must kill Serial Killers You must kill Bombers You may spare anyone else
Tracker
You are the Tracker.
Your alignment is Town Investigative.
You used to be a skilled hunter, always able to follow your prey's traces. Now that the town is under danger, you decide to use your hunting skills to figure out who has which intentions.
You may follow one person each night. You will see who that person visits, or if they do at all.
You win with the Town You win with Survivors You must kill the Mafia You must kill Arsonists You must kill Witches You must kill Serial Killers You must kill Bombers You may spare anyone else

You wake in a bedroom which clearly isn't yours, with a sharp pain in the back of the head and an ache on the stomach. The only thing that serves as a clue of how you got here is a faint memory - a bald man with glasses, holding two ...pills in each hand.
You were here with a mission. A quick scoop through the house reveals certain ...peculiar results. They're probably related to your objective here.
You leave the house and see 19 others. They also seem to be lost. Suddenly, a rumbling voice is heard above: "You all made this choice. You chose to search for answers. And now, you have to survive to obtain them. Failure to accomplish such...will lead to termination"
And as this last word is pronounced, the world shakes - and the sky, for a few moments, becomes dark and green - were those numbers you just saw?
Day One begins. It'll last for 24 hours (9:00 PM UTC - 3)
Get out Arc, don't be another Met. First you don't update the OP, now you're playing in your own games...
also hi I feel like the standard rules are lame after repeating them so many games and everyone here should know them so they only ones I'll say are because of certain people:
- Inactivity is not a play style. If you think it is, replace out, please. - Hardclaiming is not a defense.
Since most of these setups are particularly low on 'definitive' TIs, it's gonna be a lot more read-heavy. Normally I'd like D1 to be a bit more relaxed, but I'd ask you all to make an exception for this game.
Actually nevermind, I'm apparently seeing things now. Anyway, I'd say that this is going to be an interesting game due to the existence of one role revealing the other roles that could be present. It's certainly a refreshing twist.

Let me just break this down, because the colors and columns is a bit confusing.
Spoiler:
Column A Spoiler:Town Vigilante Marshal Citizen Retributionist Tracker Escort
Mafia Blackmailer Enforcer Janitor
Column B Spoiler:Town Medium PartyCop Mayor Citizen Bodyguard Veteran
Mafia Framer Underboss Agent
Column C Spoiler:Town Doctor Sheriff Jailor Citizen Spy Hijacker
Mafia Consigliere Godfather Consort
Is it just these three Columns or if he rolled X, can everything in each X be rolled too? If so, I'll add those in. Not sure if this will help us in the future, but it might.
This was not the scumslip you were looking for.
Alzar wrote:there is no such thing as a meta, forum mafia is a lie, we are products of a confused society
I'm pretty sure if he rolled X then all the ones from the X column would be in play. That's just my interpretation of the OP though.
Also we have 8 Citizens among us. And no whispers. This is going to be a fun game.
Likely that the NK will claim Citizen because they do not know what column or row was chosen. The Mafia know what column or row was chosen based on their roles so they can cc a town - I dont think Mafia would claim something outside of the chosen column or row unless they were really ballsy.
But yeah, it is going to be difficult to sort through the Citizen claims because we are going to have so many of them. But we do have 13 town so we can afford a mislynch or two. And a claimed Survivor, so that can make 14 votes in our favor.
girisawesomer wrote:So we have 3 possible rolelists? or 6?
6 possible role lists, 13 town, 4 mafia, 1 NK, 1 NE, 1 Random Neutral.
Of course while town does start with a pretty large number advantage, it's mainly the 8 confirmed citizens causing that, plus we won't really be able to narrow down what list rolled until D2 onwards because of deaths and reveals and whatnot.
