I wish that everything wasn't so figured out by the time we merged. I mean, the game was practically decided once we merged as the neutral killings and mafia were/were about to be found out.

The only thing that possibly could have changed the outcome was the bomber, and thats just because the bomber can change a course of the game on a dime.

When the merge happened, the game practically decided. I don't think any improvisations would have fixed that, save for bomber. If it wasn't decided in town favor, it'd most likely be mafia and then whatever neutral came along. If their was a way to combat this, I'd love to see in the next GFM. Otherwise I think I'll just stick to regular games.

Plus, if you die early in GFM you've got less chances for games for a long while.

Pretty much this, i did not enjoy GFM in my district (though that was mainly since i blew at jester) i thought the merge would spice things up and create some really interesting play by mafia but it ended up just being normal.

I sort of have mixed feelings. I think the gametype itself has a problem, in that it seems really unpredictable prior to the merge in the individual sections (I was really surprised at how differently each district ended up) which can lead to a lot of balance issues post-merge. Town got lucky in that there were so many town members from the residential district to give us a majority, to the detriment of other scum who did very well prior to the merge (Business scum especially). It doesn't appear easy to fix this, but the merge seems to be an interesting gimmick for games. I wouldn't recommend hosting GFM's too often though.


@arc, I think I found another way in which you (would have?) influenced the game to help scum.

Realized this after reading through the mafia chat - I think Odin's roleblock should have been transported onto Aeolian; after iEsdeath told me of that night's transport, I thought there was another escort since Aeolian was the target of two roleblocks, but I think it was a mistake. If that were the case, Hurricat would have only been roleblocked by pretzel, which (would have been) solely due to your action. So you (would have been) the one to block a spy result which (hypothetically?) damaged town .

For anyone interested, this was my uber-long last will

The Last Will and Testament of Santa07. He just wanted to remain neutral, and to survive. But it didn't happen for him.

Spoiler: They just didn't understand me. I wanted to be the way who I was. "I am who I am!" I constantly screamed at them. But they wouldn't listen. The doctors should've kept me, but no, apparently being surrounded by my friends would help. It obviously didn't.

Day 1
I remember waking up. And that's it. A flash of bright light invaded the shadows that covered my mind. I heard voices around me. Saw people dressed in white running back and forward. I was about to sit up, when a hand was placed on my chest. "Rest," said a soothing voice. "You will need it". I had no idea where you were or who this person was. "Who... are you?" I let out in a raspy voice. A lady's face came into my field of vision. "You mean you don't remember me?" she said. I was confused, and I just looked up at her. Nothing made sense. "Oh no" she muttered. Then her face disappeared and everything went silent again.

Soon afterwards, a man strode into my room. "You were in a car crash... do you remember that?" he asked. I shook my head. "You collided at top speed along the motorway with a large truck. You don't remember anything?" Flashes of memory started to race part my mind, I think I was recalling something, I could hear horns and I saw a bright flash... And then it escaped me. My mind went blank once more. "No. I have no clue what you're talking about." I told him.

I soon was informed that I was suffering from serious amnesia. After many weeks of recovery, the doctors decided it would be best to send me home. "Being surrounded by your family and friends is the best thing we can do." they said. "Our exercises with our specialists will never restore your memory fully, you need to be in your home environment." And so I went home. Back with my friends. However what they did, is made things worse.

Day 2
As soon as I got out of hospital, I found that the city had turned into a battleground, and I had already missed one day of it. They even had to close off parts of the city - putting up walls between us and other districts. There is the residential district (from what I hear, they just lounge back and did nothing there - how I envy them!) the marketplace district (who apparently negotiate their way through every day without a fight), and my district - the business district. This is probably the worst of the three districts. Citizens are dying everywhere, being murdered by the mafia, a serial killer, and even this 'stalker' dude. One person a day is being thrown out of the top floor of the tallest building. I am scared! Probably more scared then everyone else. "If I need to die for my friends, I will do it." said a few of my buddies just before. But I don't want to die! I want to live through this conflict, and come out on the other side - alive! They confuse me, the people who were accepting of death. But I confuse them too, they just don't understand my wishes to survive.

Day 3
After putting up with this disaster for a full day and a full night, my thoughts on things started to change. Not only do I want to survive to the end of this, I want to stay neutral. I don't want to have to choose a side. The mafia are cold blooded murderers, and the town are just plain annoying! And I know this serial killer and this stalker are the type of people that never like siding with other people, like me. I don't want to take sides, I want to live in my little survivor hole and not have to put up with everyone's bloody business!

Day 4
As the battle went on, I heard rumours of happenings in the other districts, beyond our walls. I've heard stories of bombs going off, of houses being burnt down. The thought of going out there just scares me (although I have to admit it was fun burning down Invenio's office - those who weren't in the business district won't understand). But I have also heard that soon that they will be knocking down the walls... apparently it's gotten too dangerous to have the city split, and they will need to merge it to ensure our safety. I am scared. Big time.

But now I come to my problem. You see, everyone wants me to take a side. My friends are adamant that I was a Spy, working for the government before I lost my memory. But I don't feel like that was me! They said if I want to, I could become an Investigator or a Lookout, but those just aren't my type of job either! The mafia are blackmailing me, saying they need a new janitor, but I would never dream of working as a cleaner! I just want to stay neutral! I don't want a job - I just want to survive! If I needed to pick a job at the end of this war, to ensure I am giving the reward of winning, I will. But picking a job right now? No, no no.

Day 5
The town is an apocalypse now. It's scum left right and centre. There's a jailor, a sheriff, and a bodyguard, and the rest are crazy scum. But that's not such a bad thing, because it seems these scum understand me! Despite these threats to kill me if I didn't vote for the bodyguard to be thrown from the tower, I think they're finally realising the way I feel. They actually seem to be okay with me not wanting to take sides! Maybe this district isn't a bad place after all...

Day 5 - Part 2
We had just passed midday by throwing the bodyguard out of the top floor, and the jailor had committed suicide because he was too threatened by the rest of the scum. A lone sheriff remained against me and the masses of scum. I thought she would be next, but then there was a crash.

I now stand here in the city of Salem, no longer in the business district, just in the city of Salem. They had knocked down the walls and we were all one. But there was a problem. The scum - they understood me - but more town members came flooding out from behind the walls! Now they're begging me to 'become a medium', or 'become a vigilante'. No, no, no! I said no! I don't care what you want me to become I am staying neutral!

Day 6
My greatest fears have come true. Well, my greatest fear was death. So, my second greatest fear. But if we don't act now, my greatest fear will come true. A fuse has been ignited. Someone in this cruel town wants to destroy us all. And I guess I need to help stop this.

So tonight, I will go against everything I've said. I will remember a role, and make sure I am victorious in this battle.

Day 7
I have emerged from the darkness. But no longer as an amnesiac. No longer as a survivor. I am now an Investigator.

But the bomb's timer is ticking down! With the mislynch of K1ll, it could be anyone! I only have one shot at this before the ultimate explosion! Oh, it's too much! We must lynch correctly today. Or everything will end badly for us all. My heart... it beats in my chest... but faster than it has ever beaten. If I screw this up, then we are all doomed. I must take a deep breath, and hope this turns out to all go okay.

If you're reading this, either the bomb has exploded, or I've met an untimely fate. I'm sad to be gone, but I want anyone else who feels the same way as me to make the most of their life. Don't pick a side. Wait it out until you know the battle is almost over. Those are my last words as an amnesiac.

We found the SK, Arsonist and the Witch on Night 1 by my request, but I was too busy to make a code and also too paranoid that people would be looking out for one. :/

GG Town, but especially good game to Stella for almost winning. Never saw that coming.

LeScraf only had one post on Day 1 and I think you only had a few short posts as well.
Our main goal was to find the Witch as soon as possible, and then whisper them (which was my job), then I died and everything was horrible.

Can't speak entirely for Loom, but he seemed convinced that his district couldn't have 3 protectives. I'm glad he didn't listen to me .

So I mapped out the roles for your district, and at least one between Q and L is telling the truth when taking the rolelist into consideration (I'm more inclined to believe L to be honest). Based on probabilities, I don't think it's unreasonable for both of them to be. Based on some more info I have, I don't think Q or L is mafia - if they're scum, they're the bomber.

I trust your feeling about A.
I don't know what to make out of K.
I've been growing suspicious of W.
I'm worried of D.

Do you have any particular inclinations towards lynching K or W? I'm leaning towards the latter.. But you know your district better.
I think invest should be on one of them (whoever's left, if we're able to lynch), or on Q.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I remember mentioning it before.

If GFM is ever done again I think the merge should happen at a set time (Day 5, Night 4, etc.) either told to us or kept hidden, instead of the merge happening whenever a certain amount of players are alive. This will prevent something like what happened in Business District where everyone is practically confirmed. (You do well in your district and killed off most of the Town, now get punished for it? That doesn't seem right at all to me)
