Rock, I think you looked town enough that even if you lived, you probably wouldn't look suspect, even as a Cit claimer.

And yeah, you played well while leading the town near the end. We probably would've lost if we hadn't claimed to you.

It's not that I didn't suspect them, because by N3 I didn't believe them (which is why D4 was soooo fun trying to decide what to do about Rick <,,<), but I genuinely can't execute without definite proof. Even if I'm certain they're scum, I can't. That's my problem. >,,>

My N2 reads wrote:
N1 - Ayanhart for... I forgot why. The one thing that concerns me about you is that it's apparently nerve-racking to be jailed on N1? Erm, what? I don't know you, so that could very well be part of your personality, but that struck me as odd. There's nothing to fear from a Jailor on N1, even less if you're Town.

I believed Rick for the duration of N2 then...no. I'm dumb.

You know what I loved the most of D5 besides finding scum (yay)?

Well, I can sympathise with that. Shooting someone was really nerve-wracking with the knowledge that I could be killing a townie and also myself the next night.

Oh yeah, that.

Santa's claim was just unbelievable. I really didn't see him putting effort into this game to make three saves. Even though we didn't have hard proof, Met became town to me right then and there. I think Santa would've been better off claiming Cit to explain away the inactivity in the game. I suppose that would CC Akame, but they were sinking by D5 anyways.

I guess I'd have the same problem if I was the Jailor or any other Town role that can kill

Knock's reaction to Santa's claim as made me laugh a bit though as did his death note on Akame.

Postby Metrion » Mon Apr 27, 2015 7:34 pm

Here is my unfinished last will:

Metrion wrote:Metrion's Log:

Day 1:

Spoiler: I soft claimed some stuff. I'll probably get shot/stabbed/doused/stalked, hell I've probably been stalked already. It's good to express my paranoia here.

At any rate ObiWan contacted me today, he brought up the topic of Rick. I'll play along for now. Good communication is key and having Obi around to talk to could prove fruitful. He's done this as scum twice now, is he doing it again? Trying to focus on a fear of Rick to relate to me? Maybe.

Nothing personal Obi, I don't want to fall for your tricks again.

Speaking of Rickdaily12. He suggested not having a reveal tomorrow. I support this, this is classic Rick and he brings good points.

Night 2:

Spoiler: Who knows what this night will bring? God knows I don't. I have my healing list narrowed down to:

2. Neasans (Good player, would scum think they'd be healed? Probably not.)
6. ObiWan (Asked for protection. I'll leave that to the others.)
9. Loominaty (Has already died N1, hopefully doesn't get A.O.ed.)
14. Metrion (He's too cool to die, right? Sigh)
18. LeScraf (Same case as Neasans)
19. ShroomerD (Another rising player, last time I wanted to protect him he was a Veteran.)
20. Rickdaily12 (WIFOM, that will get Rick by, hopefully.)
26. LordofFail (Tempting, but I think he wont be targeted provided he isn't scum.)
27. M4xwell (Another good target. I think I'll pass for now though.)
28. MarcoTheRed (Honestly Marco seems like a perfect target, I think the evils may bite off something bigger.)
29. Ayanhart (I hope they also don't get A.O.ed)

So I guess I'll go with ShroomerD. Also I've narrowed down the possibilities for tonight in order or probability:

1. Nothing
2. I get targeted by some evil people.
3. ShroomerD is targeted by something I can't heal.
4. ShroomerD is healed, however he is scum.
5. ShroomerD is healed and Town.

Day 2:

Spoiler: Early
Would you look at that, I healed ShroomerD successfully. Now would it be option 4 or 5 there. I guess I'll lean 5 now. He's probably not Mafia at the least? Who knows. What I need to do know is to stay vigilant and not seem to trusting of him and his claim.

Dota2reporter. No. (Note peoples reactions here, pretzels was odd but I'm not sure Mafia or NKs would react out of line with Rick and Obi one this one. Could just be pretzel himself)

LeScraf is fairly scummy, I hope he's lynched. Just doesn't make sense to me Executioner wise, why would he reveal without a fight today. Remind myself to look back and find potential targets, if he is even Exe (grain of salt here).

Pretty straight forward so far. Got a bad feeling on Loominaty and LordofFail. I should shoot ObiWan a whisper later, get his take.

Mid

Having a bad feeling about Nellybot, their an alt, they should know better. LordofFail is actually rising on my radar. Arcthurus certainly knows how to keep things interesting as well. I still think LeScraf is night immune and Arcthurus just wants attention from that, he probably isn't a NK at any rate, thinking Jester myself. I'm going to try and rouse some suspicions and get some talking going on. I'm pretty confused over all right now, I want to see some connections.

End

Well I'm very set on LordofFail, is he doing it on purpose or is he really as he claims? Doubt it. Nellybot is supposedly Escort/Consort, I'm leaning Consort personally. Not much to say here.

Night 2

Spoiler: Lynching LeScraf wasn't my choice but here we are. For reference Rick said this:

Rickdaily12 wrote:DOTA, listen carefully: (You too, protective roles.)

1. DOTA cannot transport himself, nor should he transport Loominaty.
2. You must choose carefully, ways to protect Dota, Loom, Nellybot, waffle, and possibly ObiWan, myself, Knockoff, and any other high profile Town member tonight.
3. With luck, keeping this many people as choices forces NKs and Mafia to look elsewhere for Townie targets.

Good luck, everyone. Jailor, I trust your judgment.

1. Knockoff (Seen as "trusted", not claimed could be a good for evils to sneak a kill in.)
2. Neasans (Kinda there)
6. ObiWan (Exe's "target", not claimed yet however.)
9. Loominaty (Vigilante, getting tp-ed probably)
10. dota2reporter (Leaving to other protective, WIFOM please work.)
14. Metrion (BEST DOC IN DA WORLD)
17. RockFire (Kinda there)
19. ShroomerD (Healed last night successfully, should I heal this slightly scummy player again?)
20. Rickdaily12 (I want to heal him, but, IDK.)
21. waffleme3 (Claimed Invest...hmmm)

I guess I'll go with waffleme3. Better to have confirmed results tomorrow.

Day 3

Spoiler: Well hot damn, I healed ObiWan since he was TP. Thank god as transporting only the suspected consigliere could have been really bad for Dota2reporter.

LordofFail soft claimed Jailor. Well sugar shack. But what troubles me is the fact that he would have surely wanted to mass claim to him, no? So I think he's still lying scum. Probably. :?

Night 3

Spoiler: Again, I don't aprove of the lynch. Scum most likely had a huge hand in it, but Hip really didn't help his case. I needed him to interrogate the SK damnit. We have do know Loom is most likely innocent however.

1. Knockoff (Probable target, trusted but overshadowed by claiments.)
2. Neasans (Kinda neutral on them, still possible.)
6. ObiWan (Very frightened of death, doubt killers would go for with the Stalker around.)
9. Loominaty (Claimed but getting roleblocked, liability to Town currently.)
10. dota2reporter (Transporter, obvious target)
13. brainothon (Bodyguard? Actually trust the claim)
14. Metrion (Me, trion. Eh, I'd rather die than say I self healed. Doc is hard)
20. Rickdaily12 (That kinda scummy guy. Would not mind seeing him flip)
21. waffleme3 (Investigator, obvious target)
26. LordofFail (soft claimed Jailor :/)

So I'm going with Knockoff, I trust him at this moment and he's been playing a solid game. Arc could be the Jailor(?), only Waffle knows. I'll leave him be.

Day 4

Spoiler: Well then, lots of flips of the bat, we lost just as many as scum if you count poor Rockfire. The Stalker has been stopped at least and we got a plethora of information from 2 mafia flips. And look I healed Knockoff.

Kinda suspicious of gobble and Rick for their actions currently. I didn't do much today, kind of a mix of me not wanting to look that good so I wont die (I guess that went great ) and just real life being a hassle. We lynched the Bomber so we can be more agressive at night with our Vigilante.

Koolkatgold panned out too, hopefully Swordsworth is executed tonight. God I hope they are the Serial Killer.

Night 4

Spoiler: 1. Knockoff (Guy I healed last night, will scum go for him again to force a kill?)
2. Neasans (Vigilante, or maybe Veteran? 90% sure Vig with those tells.)
5. IAmAMunchlax (Claims Sheriff like a madman, maybe scum will try what they did with waffleme3?)
6. ObiWan (That basically confirmed guy I know very little about)
10. dota2reporter (That confirmed Transporter)
13. brainothon (Claims Bodyguard. Pls flip)
14. Metrion (That guy who cannot keep this up)
20. Rickdaily12 (Pls flip 2, or reveal as mayor)
21. waffleme3 (That basically confirmed invest)

This is a difficult choice. I can rule out Neasans, IAmAMunchlax, Brainothon, Rickdaily12 and I. Knockoff, ObiWan, dota2reporter and waffleme3.

I will heal Knockoff again. Sigh.

So follow these points people:

Spoiler: 1. Don't blindly follow people. Look behind posts for motive and a larger agenda. Just because someone seems town doesn't mean they are. Think for yourself.

2. Never believe anything scum says without question. It's there job to screw with town.

3. Revive me.

4. ???

5. Profit.

"Argh, this is the end for me...so dark...so quiet...so beautiful..."

Fun Fact, I really hated Doctor going into this, this game softened that but I still prefer Investigative or Scum any day of the week. Still, had loads of fun.

It's interesting to see how you picked your heal targets, Met. I do think investigative are a much more fun role to play then Doc though, but you did extremely well for not liking the role you got.

I guess we were lucky that you saved Knock and waffle since that helped Town win in in the end.

Hats off to you! :D

Doc seems tough, with all the WIFOM involved. Still, reading your thoughts on the days and nights was fascinating.

Also, this quote makes more sense now.

Metrion wrote:Oh hello everyone. I'm just going to be quiet and unassuming since the mods got *cough* lazy *cough* and didn't send a day starts message.

I doubt a Phantom would claim Survivor honestly. GF or any neutral, for sure though atleast we can cross two people off as not town.

At any rate I'm here and I'm kinda disgruntled about my role.

In retrospect, I probably could have used my massively confusing post that softclaimed everything to my advantage. My revealing, Night getting found out, Neasans getting the claims, the really low move against bumble, and Met's godly healing powers really saved the town. In my opinion, those were all the anomalies. Night not getting found out would have kept the confusion around what Rick was up to, and afaik Neasans was going to only execute if given no other option. Brain's BG claim, while extremely scummy, was still disputable.

Knockoff, that was still a really low move :P

You did miracles not liking the role, which is amazing on its own.

This was a token attempt of softing Vet, while we're on the subject.

Knockoff wrote:
VonAntarctic wrote:Just saying, There is a very high proability of a Veteran in this game. Also, there is a likelihood of an Agent so be aware about role-claiming to someone.

Lookling at the role-list, here is the worst-case scenario that can happen to townies:

Night 1
Mafia kills a Townie
SK kills a Townie

and town lost majority.

Well, there's also the possibility of the Vet shooting a town member or two first night as well if we're talking worst case scenarios.

I thought that if someone looked closely enough, they'd realize I was talking about a Vet like they were confirmed.

Hmmm, that whole lynch bandwagon with roles is interesting.

I guess that we should have a lynch target by the 24 hour mark to avoid rushing like what happened at the end of everyday.

Also, Knock, that must have taken a bit to make the BB code for that post, so kudos for taking the time to do it!

Yeah. The problem was that we had a lynch target, then they, or someone else, would say something that made everyone unvote our lynch target, who usually happened to be scum. I was actually expecting more mafia members on the Hip wagon, but I suppose Rick pushed Hip's wagon enough for other mafia to not have to jump in.

Nelly ... I specifically asked you after I died if anything happened to me and you said no... and in the Night Action log it says that Nellybot tried to roleblock me ...

My Last Will sums up my impression of this game - Marshal is currently a very weak role and is in dire need of a buff. I know there is a buff discussion going on right now but tbh I'm not a fan of the "scare a role away" concept as a whole.

Yes, Nellybot was witched that night onto Loominaty. LoF received all the information he was supposed to.

I was fully going to interogate Rick night 3. Nothing he was doing was in any way pro town at all.
I also was never going to interogate Nelly, he was to obvious of a consort i felt no need to do so.
