im saying as mafia he might be confused about town hypoing and ask mafia what's going on, and from there he wouldnt have the need to say the uninformed thing he said; he would know that multiple town people (likely by that point) would be lying, which would be illogical from a mafia pov. however from a town pov it makes sense to question it at that stage since the possibility of multiple mafia people lying about neop is possible (albeit stupid)
