There are many reasons why they may have, it could be a scum/town redirector in which they don't want you using whatever abilities you may have or an NE that just wanted to. Who knows since we have no clue what any roles are specifically. Additionally, I am not claiming that this happened but it is a plausible reason why the SK hasn't killed, whether this is legit or not I am brainstorming.
