Cause I want a credit for not wanting a credit.

Let's be honest, all NKs and most NEs are trying to blend in, rather than stand out, get enough scumhunting credit to survive long enough.
Most mafia, when theirs partner is outed by cop check is also going to just buss for credit.
Or even better - if the cop check was neutral, then jump on them to use a lynch on someone who is not mafia.
