Witch Defence

Suggestion:

If witch gets attacked by both mafia and SK (and has one night of defence), witch should not die. Defence should not count for only 1 attack, defence should count for 1 night. The night you are attacked.


(this would also count for all any games. If a witch gets attacked by multiple 'entities', no matter how many times they are attacked that night, they should not die that night.'

Agreed. Shield should last for everything that night so witches dont get unlucky n1.

The only thing i see in this is witch being hanged D3(D2 if there is a spy). It did nothing.

Eh what... it is going to prevent the witch's death if multiple evils attack the witch. How would that result in them being hanged?

We are talking about D1 here.
Witch is attacked by Sk and mafia N1.
Incase we have no spy in the game:
*SK and mafioso/godfather write down in their death note that X(the witch) was immune.
*Mafia/Sk push the witch D2 thinking they hit either the nk or the godfather.
I can write a lot about this but i am a bit lazy.

Best case the witch will survive through D4(which chances are low), worst case the witch is hanged D2(which will probably happen).

The only solution for this is to not give any feedback when attacking the witch.

Do be mindful of the fact that if this suggestion does get implemented then the playerbase would know about this change, which might in turn influence the decision of evils outing immune targets. It adds another layer of possible deception to the game, which I am all for.

Exactly, you don't know if you did hit nk or exe or simply just hit the witch. This would make them think twice before revealing the immune.

If you have consig then send the consig on the immune target.if you dont only experienced players will think twice.
The thing is that the sk wont think twice.
But if mafia can get a free lynch without risking anything then why not push the witch?
And again this is only when there isnt a spy in the game.

Well considering all the facts tho, if the choice is between the witch dying the night they are attacked or them *possibly* getting hanged the next day, then I would say that the latter should be the best choice.

Because the witch’s shield doesn’t give attackers the “your target’s defense was too strong” message. If any mistake is being made here, the killers would think their target was healed.

Very much agree.
I'd even go as far as to say it should protect you from attacks that pierce basic defense for the sense of lore, but honestly I think that's kinda pushing it for an NE role. So probably not to that extent.

Everything that kills witch, even if witch has this buffed defence (WW or Veteran for example) should still kill witch.

It really wouldn't matter. Mafia NEED the NK early on as they need the body count. They can win without them, but you need a bad town.
