Improving Account Security

BMG recently released an announcement stating that they've comprehended the culprits behind the botting issue. However, aside from botting, they were able to "hack" innocent TOS players. It is very concerning to me and other paid users that what we purchased could easily be stolen. And to reinforce this factor, I would like to suggest adding 2FA into the system as "Account Verification" or "Reinforced Security". This would ensure and also relief our thoughts on about being able to be hacked.

If 2FA may not been able to be implemented, I would like to suggest adding "Additional Security Questions".

I'm unsure to whether this suggestion has been suggested in the past. But, it would make me feel safer to have this than to be completely "naked" from any aggression. Thank you for reading my suggestion and I hope you too have a nice day. :smiley:

To be fair, most account hacking in any place, tos included, is because of unsafe password. People often don't realise that it's best to use passwords with 10+ characters, random capital letters, numbers and symbols. A lot of people use things like "password/passw0rd", "123456" or their own name/birthdate.

Not saying that the responsibility lies solely there, but in this case it wasn't like people hacked a database of passwords.

Understandable, but like many other sites which offer a variety of account security. I think it's safe to implement this system to ensure a "safe environment" for the players. As an internet user, I've got a lot of protections from VPNs to 2FA. Not just for my personal privacy but also for my personal safety while roaming the unknown world. Nobody would play a game or visit a site that doesn't safeguard their user's personal safety. That's something I think what we should implement so that players feel safe and able to continue to trust BMG brand.

We are going to be making some improvements to account security to help prevent this kind of this from happening again.
