The Harlot - Rough Skin Concept [classic escort/consort]

Another user posted her concept for a dress/skin that inspired me to doodle this up, and there's been a customization masterthread made up so I thought I'd post my skin concept in an independent thread. View Catmince's dress/skin concept here!

This is a (very rough) doodle of a skin concept I had as a sort of classic escort/consort. I call her The Harlot.

UPDATE: This is a really poorly reworked version of another Town of Salem character skin.

It's not exactly what I was thinking, but it's neat to kind of see how it translates!

I based it on fashions of 'ladies of the night' from England and France in the late 17th Century and early 18th century, while doing my best to keep in mind SOME of the Puritan fashion choices (mostly that it's brown, and a dark blue/green versus yellows and bright blues). Obviously it's a little historically inaccurate, but let's be honest we have a Minx skin, I'm sure y'all can cope.

Notes:

Curly hair, no hat. The Harlot says "Floop your Puritan sense of modesty!"
Split Bodice/Dress. Underlayer revealed. "I have nothing to hide, clearly."
Bow. "I like the finer things. So what?"
Gloves. "Wouldn't want to get my hands dirty, now would I?."
Smirk. "You wouldn't believe the secrets I know."

Just a rough doodle, if y'all hate it that's cool. It's not in the style of town of salem at all. I'm used to designing costumes for stage plays, not little avatars :3

I just kind of doodled it up on This Site which has some awesome painting tools that fake pressure sensitivity and things, because I don't currently have a tablet.

Update: I kind of tried to rework another town of salem skin and came up with a meh version of what it could look like.

Thanks for your kind words! I really enjoy historical fashion. I was actually really sad that I had to ask my grandma to send me scans of her historical fashion books instead of being able to pore over them myself for this design.

I'd love to see a properly done version - I'm not very savvy with photo -editing/manipulating/illustration programs or whatever.

I actually like the costume concept enough I may sew it up for myself for Halloween this year. Most of the stuff I design isn't for fun, it's for theatre projects or whatever. But this was a little more personal and open.

My biggest concern would be that jester is black/red/white, isn't it? I wanted her to be uniquely coloured. Hence the red hair. As well, historically speaking, it wasn't a particularly fashionable colour combination at the time. Bright whites, blues, and yellows would have been the top choice for young women, and the only reason I changed it was to make her fit Salem where religion dictated fashion above all else (in requirements for modesty, keeping your hair covered, etc). Black would have been for dowdy old women, widows and religious figures like preachers and nuns.

I'm really liking this idea! It's nice to see one more fitting to the setting, after all the more modern ones that have been introduced, like the YouTubers and the doctor. This is certainly deserving of being added to the game, but that's just my opinion; it's the devs that make that call!

I think it'd be awesome for any sort of Harlot skin, since this is in Salem, that they should have a Scarlet Letter. It'd be a great historical reference and very appropriate.

For some undescribable reason, I think that the Consort skin should be geisha. No idea why. It just feels like that.

Maybe because of all the movies where Triads pay up the geisha dancers to cover up or distract the attention from the on-going illegal trade
