Make Salem Great Agian? (Remove the Pay-Wall)

Recently I tried to refer a Friend to play Town of Salem,
didn't think there would be any issues, I've referred several friends before...

Realized I couldn't refer him to the game, because I'm on a Legacy Account.
He made an Account, realized he couldn't play the game without paying money and deleted his account.

It was at that moment I realized why I can't find players for Custom or Coven Game Modes....
The once Free2Play Desktop Game is behind a Pay-Wall and the once Popular Town is now a Ghost Town!

Everyone I recruited ended up buying some cosmetics at some-point to support the game, myself included...
But you gotta be able to actually play the game to wanna spend money on your Virtual Barbie-doll.

*And I simply cannot recommend paying money to play a Dead Game,
You literally can-not find a Game of Coven or Custom anymore, you just sit in an Empty Lobby for Hours...

My Suggestion: Remove the Pay Wall
-You'll Probably Sell More Cosmetics
-Players might actually be able to Play

You're queueing for the wrong modes my guy

I would recommend clicking on the button that says "Chaos" or joining Discord servers of people who coordinate playing CRP, Coven Ranked, and Coven Custom at certain times

I don't wanna play Chaos, I'm glad people play Any, but this game suffers from a very low player population.

It simply wasn't like this, when the game was Free2Play, they'd make more money off letting people play and selling cosmetic.

I'm not just telling you to play a different game mode. I'm also trying to direct you to ways to play the gamemodes that you consider to be dead.

I've even posted a link that might help you to be able to play CRP and Coven Ranked, although you seem to have ignored it entirely.

The playerbase isn't too small, you just don't seem to want to look in the right places.

There aren't too many gamemodes, since there are fewer Coven gamemodes available at any given time than there are Classic gamemodes.

And I mean I have coven but most of the time I play classic anyway, it isn't entirely that no one has coven, it's just that sometimes people wanna play with Mafia rather then Coven as the opposing evil to town, after all I feel Mafia impacts they game more socially then Coven does.

Maybe you could actively try to find players instead of just whining about it

Try doing what people have done for other modes and create a Discord server and try to queue at scheduled times

Also, one mode being dead doesn't mean the entire game is. The fact that people rarely play Mafia Returns doesn't also mean that people rarely play other modes.

Pretty Ironic. Unholy argues that the gamemodes you play are 'bad' meaning it's his disliked gamemodes, which is the ones that are not as popular, while you say that's your opinion and they continue to say you can't play in your favourite gamemode.

If u wanna play different gamemodes then think of creative ways to get people to play them.

Yea first 3 tickets here on coven all any. Btw one of those was when their was 1 Mafioso that got lynched d2 because he got rbed lol.

I can see how I may have come off a little bit toxic in my other reply, but we are trying to give you other alternatives, and if you don't want to go on discord and try to get people, that's fair. I agree the pay wall is annoying, but sometimes companies gotta do what's best for the game as a whole, not for a group whom want the opposite.

Look at among us, it took them 2 years to become popular, and now they finally have they going down again. The possibility of making Mobile a pay wall aswell is a very likely chance, so they can keep on going, after all Innersloth have been working pretty hard on the game.

It's not about the player base being too small, it's about one gamemode being popular then the other, which the causes people want to join games faster, so they join the more popular gamemode, then a cycle forms and everyone joins the popular gamemode because of the faster games.

If they made Salem free2play and the player base grew by 10%
even if only 1% of the new players purchased cosmetics,
it would be more profitable than discouraging people to play due to Pay-Wall

Yes it is, but no one plays it. Look at classic Classic. It's garbage when you have a basic understanding of the game, all it takes is someone cc a claim and RT/evil is found, leaving no claimspace for Anyone. Coven Classic will probably be the same, it would be way better of playing Coven TT, it's not ideal but it will work better then playing Classic anyway.

If people are purchasing TOS then they will be able to find a game. And more recommendations are needed so the player base grows, that will help solve the problem as well. Sometimes games that are free 2 play thrive and gets lots of money on cosmetics, other times games that have a pay wall thrive on that aswell. Fortnite is a good example of how dear the cosmetics were and how popular they are. This game's cosmetics isn't really looked at, and are pretty cheap. I would say Scrolls are were the most purchases would be, but you would get alot of them for free from playing games. There's no guarantee that this game will thrive like Fortnite did if it was made free2play, and taking that leap could be the make or break of this game. And don't forget a main argument of making it a Pay wall was because of multi accounting bots, and also if you were to get banned, just get a new account and then do it again.

Yeah no, adds arent aviable 90% of time and watching an add to get a ticket, without being able to stack them is lame and slow, tbh it would be better to just remove that option, because many people see
