Make "Like" and "Dislike" buttons for posts on the forums?

It could be nice to see posts that are upvoted/downvoted.

I have to agree with woahah that it would be easily abusable and serves no real purpose besides basically being a popularity contest.

I don't see the point - if you have an actual opinion on a topic, lay it out with reasoning and logic. Button pressing leads to the "Spy Effect" - the poll on changing Spy was overwhelmingly against even while the actual arguments given clearly favored a rework. Letting people turn their brains off and just push a button doesn't help reach an ultimately favorable outcome, ever.

The devs like to keep this forum as a space for official discussion. For a more casual environment, you can try the Discord or r/townofsalemgame. The latter, being a subreddit, has upvote and downvote buttons.

Adding in voting to this site would be difficult because it's based of phpBB. It's a template, and editing it would take substantial effort and time.
