Dev Update 12/17/2018 (achievements feedback welcome)

I am currently working on bringing the full Achievements experience to our Unity mobile game.

Along with displaying your newly earned achievements in-game and at the end of the game, we are implementing something called "Shadow Achievements" which will prevent certain achievements from popping up in the middle of your game, giving away information that should not be available to you yet. An example might be the Sheriff finds Mafia ("Busted") achievement.

I've taken my first stab at which achievements should be considered Shadow, but I'm looking for feedback from the community as to which Achievements you think should not be displayed during the game. Which achievements have been causing issues for you?

Sheriff's SK achievement 'Got You ' is another example, but I can't really think of any others off the top of my head.

Though if this is the case, why not make them all shadow achievements? Just display them all at the end.

This suggestion obviously wasn't made in mind with taking away excitement. Just that several people in the community have suggested we just move them all to the end of the game, and I was simply passing that along.

Consigliere hitting self or mafia could stay; he knows which role he has. And Escort/Jailor literally receives they hit SK. So I think self-target of Consig or the Jailor+Esc one shouldn't be Shadow.

Other achievements that should be shadowed:

Influenced Infection (Coven Leader): Control someone into visiting Pestilence.
If you get this achievement, then you know that whoever you sent your target into is Pestilence, and not healed/protected/etc.

Revitalized (GA): Purge a poison and a douse from your target. You would probably know that your target was poisoned, but you certainly shouldn’t know that they were doused unless they’re an Arsonist and they told you.

All “visit another member of the mafia/coven” achievements, for the same reason that all self-visit achievements should be shadowed: it reveals the existence of a Transporter, and who they visited.

CL doesn’t know the roles of the people who she sends her targets to, but other than that, yes.

I'm still in favor of simply shadowing all achievements.
Seems like the easiest solution here. Also works in case you change the game (for example: normalizing "Unable to kill" message, rework of roles)
My argument against "instant gratification" is that it can as much be a distration.

If you want to go with the "shadow select achievements" approach, here's a comprehensive list:
- All the Sheriff ones - give info that they should not get anymore
- All the Medium ones - give info about a role that can be brought to the living through other med / ret
- Influenced Infection - tells the CL who Pest is 100%
- Curse the Gods - tells a Hex Master with Necronomicon who Pest is
- Revitalized - tells about douses
- All achievements that can only be earned with the help of a trans / witch (target self, target own faction) - they give info about your target that you shouldn't have
Spoiler: Escort - I look good!
Investigator - Who am I?
Transporter - Stop hittin' yourself
Vigilante - Ouch
Blackmailer - Self-Conscious | Oops
Consigliere - How'd that happen?
Consort - Distracting | It's a trap!
Forger - Could Be Worse? | Whoops!
Framer - That was pointless | Whoops
Janitor - Impossible!
Hex Master - Backfire!
Hynotist - You were confused

but it's possible that there is a Medium in play
Or that the Potion Master can heal the Coven member who finds Pestilence, or that the person who finds Pestilence has good standing with the town and gets saved by a TP, etc.
