The PTR is open!!!!!

Hey Townies,

The PTR is now open for our next patch! This patch will include the following:

Spy Changes!
The Spy will be keeping his current ability which allows him to see who the Mafia and Coven visit, but we will be adding on a new ability to the Spy. The Spy is now able to "bug" a players house. This will cause the spy to see all of the actions that player would normally see done to them. This would include messages such as being attacked but healed, being roleblocked, being transported, and more. The role card has been updated to reflect these changes.

New Death Animation!
With this patch we will be adding a new death animation called Blast Off. This death animation will cause your character to power up, spewing energy, and then fly off the screen leaving a crater behind. With the addition of this new death animation we will be making the "Splat!" death animation purchasable with Merit Points now.

Jailor Deathnote!
The Jailor will now be able to select from a list of reason why they executed their target instead of writing their own deathnote.


General changes!
New end game lobby screen
Ranked/Ranked Practice role list changes
If you own the max amount of a certain scroll the button to purchase more will dissapear.
We made some improvements to password security.


Bug Fixes!
Fixed some issues with how draws are displayed.

Known Issues!
Leaderboards for some of the new stats won't be working currently.

Does the new Spy see the bugged players' notifications in a seperate format than his own, or are they identical?

What is being done about people that leave a Ranked match at the start, or when they die? Are they getting an auto elo loss, are they getting a can't join ranked for xx minutes? People that leave before the match has ended needs some kind of severe penalty.

Leaving a ranked game does count automatically as loss regarding their elo, thus it will decrease. When they player left while alive, they also receive the default 5 min penalty of not being able to join a lobby/start a game.

5 minutes is very short, games will last much longer and they'll be able to re-queue again. Yeah some people have d/c's and other issues but its ranked and it shouldn't be a shrug whatever kinda deal. I know these suggestions will need to be discussed but I hope the next patch will look towards this issue. See League of Legends when they dodge queues, first offense it is minor, the 5 minutes, but it quickly bumps up to 15/30 minutes before you can play ANY GAME again, not just ranked. Anyways, thanks for an intriguing game and reading my post.

A similar system was implemented once, but it somehow bugged out and the state got reverted. I do not know if is dropped, or still tested, or currently "on ice" and will be picked up later.

Role changes are nice, but I really dislike the new ranked role list. It will be even harder than before for NKs to win without any/NB slots. (+4 mafias, which is OP. Town can't win against that)

The fact that the role list is changing is so bad. IMO this role list is perfect as it actually has a same playing level for each faction. If this is going to be switched with the role list in Ranked Practice i will thoroughly be dis appointed as this role list favors the Mafia more than ever. All aside i think the jailor's new death note is really good and giving spy a new buff is such a good thing. spy has been such an easy role to claim for mafias and this buff makes it hard again.

The ranked queue is really long. I have not been able to get into a game. I've been though like 7 queues and it all said that the game is full an they will redirect me into another game, but no. I wait and wait, but nothing. Season one of Ranked just started and I suppose it will be really busy but me having to wait 8 queues ( and counting ) is unbelievable. I tried going into Ranked Practice in the mean time but the most players that have joined is 10.

Have you changed your password since you made the account? If so, change the password back, and it should work. If not, then unfortunately you won't be able to use the PTR. Apologies.
