Finally, the bugs have been fixed. Good job!
My favourite and, sadly, the most under-appreciated role in Salem - Transporter.

Of course they are not playing near their elo. Why did you change elo this drastic knowing that this is a small fan base. You are just pushing out the higher elo players. -14 for a surv lost????

I also don't see jailor putting their names in death notes. They explain why they killed a person, who they are killing etc. Imagine the backlash when jailor executes a town. No good player wont reveal by a death note if they can come out to the town the next day.

Hey I've been having issues connecting to Town of Salem on android mobile after June 4, the release of this patch, are you guys working on the servers of something? It just gives me a continuous Connecting to Server...

EDIT: As of right now, on the Google Play Store, it isn't showing any updates for Town of Salem, nor is the game version 2.0. It is 1.5.

I think a lot of your veteran players, myself included, are simply either going to quit (taz and such) or just stop playing ranked (me, and a few others) until the ELO is either reverted or made less punishing simply for being high (2k+) ELO.

This game doesn't have a good enough matchmaking system or large enough playerbase to support such a punishing ELO system.

The ELO changes might have looked good on paper, but they are a disaster.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I try and go onto Town of Salem (after pressing the "PLAY NOW" button) I'm greeted with a white screen with two ads present on the side that won't go away no matter how long I wait. Now I don't know for sure, but I think it is to do with me closing the tab of Town of Salem in chrome whilst the servers where shutting down. My screen had froze and I had no clue what to do so I just shut it down. If anyone else has had any problems are knows how to fix it please help!

Simply put: The playerbase is too small to sustain an elo system similar to other larger games like LoL and Overwatch as previously explained in the thread. The majority of people with an above average elo will lose all interest in the game as any form of balance in the only competitive gamemode has been removed. No one who cared just a tiny bit about their elo will queue up again because the only thing they're gonna get is high risk game for +1 at best with severe penalties if they lose.

So the public service announcement to any moderators or admins who have any influence on the game is thus: Your updated elo system is shit and the entire high elo community will stop playing your game until it's fixed. Congratulations on alienating the part of your community which has supported your game for the longest time and I hope you actually used the ridiculous amount of kickstarter money you earned to do something sensible other than this latest update.

literally can't join a game, what the fuck is this? and the garbage animated login screen makes logging inon this laptop take an extra 5 minutes, along with the loading of the random ad/junk on initial log in.

this is getting shittier and shittier by the day.

Revert the fucking terrible ui change, if that's the issue. Having the rules there is fine but the rest of it is ugly in general.

Hello. every since the new update i for some reason do not have a deathnote for vigilante. veteran. and jailor. but i still have them for mafia and NK please help me by fixing this issue i miss my deathnotes.

1) Why doesn't Witch have Powerful protection to defend from Juggernaut, Werewolf, and Arsonist? Also why does it work against town roles?

Jester haunt is still affected by transportation. I just watched a transporter transport the haunt from himself to the godfather, who abstained on the jester.

That would probably be because of Town death notes being removed.

I'm happy that some balancing changes were made. However, I wish that Witchsigliere was removed. What do you think about some different mechanics between Ranked/Ranked Practice and casual with a brief tutorial discussing the messages? That way, players in modes like Classic could play with "easier" mechanics while Ranked players could play with mechanics geared for competitive play.

Like I said, I'm aware that it was a bug, I just feel that it added another level to play. Something else that had to be taken into consideration by Trans and Evils.

Off topic, but I don't agree with the removal of Jailor death notes. It'd be a good way to stay anonymous while still explaining why a player was executed. I get why they did it, but it seems like a huge nerf to the Jailor.

It might be a Jailor nerf, but it is not like that the Jailor cannot sustain any nerfs at all, imo.

I really don't like town not having death notes. Lately TOS players have decided VFR and random lynching is the best thing ever. THEY WILL LYNCH A CONFIRMED VET TRUST ME. Death notes were the ONLY true defense against that. Jailor needs his death note because it is how they explain why someone was executed. If a townie decides to gamethrow and claim mafia in jail, people will just see that jailor exed a townie now. It's a bad change. You should put up a vote to see who wants town's death notes back.

I think it's not really a bad idea. Town's win rate is significantly higher than evils because of the role list. Townies can no longer insta-confirm. Vigilante, Veteran, and Jailor all had ways to insta-confirm or in terms of jailor, ways to make demands and remain anonymous. If a jailor accidentally executes a townie instead of a scum and gets a little banter, big deal. If you can't ignore a little banter then this is the wrong game to be playing, to be honest.

Also, @shapesifter13 I had an idea that I wanted you to look over. I wrote it on orangeandblack5's new role list post so I'll just quote myself:

Perhaps a secondary list-option might be plausible if it could be programmed and set up in the right way. Ideally after a short time some experienced and more active players will remember these just based on the key words already but they could have a quick reference when needed rather than running to wikia, and for less experienced players who can't remember, it gives them something to reference until they can remember.

Note: It utilizes available space on the screen and unclutters my precious chat-box. That way it prevents having to try to further compact each result, and perhaps even gives room to further lists down the road, given when and if they add more roles, we'll go through this all over with possibly 6-7 roles at some point. Eesh.
