Patch 1.4.0 - Love is in the Air!

Hey Townies! Welcome to the Valentine's Patch for Town of Salem! Check out our new releases and bug fixes for the month of Love.

New Releases:

• Cupid Pet - Enlist his help to get the attention of that special someone.
  
  
  
• Love Shack - Great spot to bring a date.
  
  
  
• New Login Music and changed Login Page - The Cupid pet has invaded the Login page and brought new Login music along with him!

Bug Fixes:

• Tutorial - We have decided to remove the required Tutorial for new users as it wasn't everything we hoped it would be. Bugs in the tutorial and the "versus Bots" aspects led us to remove it. We will release a new improved tutorial at some point in the future.
• Server Fixes - Josh (Achilles) has been working tirelessly to improve our stability and performance. We are proud to say the server has not crashed in the past month. Also, after testing, there should be a large decrease in the amount of lagginess in the game.
• Mac Steam Fixes - We have fixed a lot of issues surrounding the Mac version of the Steam client. Things should behave just like the Windows version now.
• Paypal Improvement - We have seen some people not get the items they bought when buying through Paypal. We are introducing some fixes in this patch should help of these problems with more fixes to come.

Patch 1.4.0.1 Hotfix
The Love Shack will now show up at position 12.
The report menu in-game will now work properly.

Wow, that must be why I couldn't get onto Town of Salem, I resetted the internet and a lot of other stuff. But now I know. Yay!

We are doing some maintenance right now. The server will be up as soon as possible!

You should lower the trail requirements to something like 700 and send out some new invites. It's been a month.

It would be super rad if someone could provide a nice clean image of Alabaster, Love Shack, and Cupid for the Wiki.
For the Pets page and the Houses page.

On topic, I'm so madly in love with the login music and the Love Shack house. This has boosted my excitement for Valentine's Day.

Hey folks,

After the patch i can´t log in anymore. I keep getting the note ERROR: User not found !
and yes username and password are correct. Anyone ese with the same problem or a solution ?

Sorry, not the Developer's job. Chris, the one developing the Trial, will lower it when he thinks it's ready. Right now, we're having issues with Trial System, so for the current moment, the requirement will not be lowered further.

I think the tutorial worked well, but yes, it should be required, so people with alts don't keep making them.

Is the pet and house gonna be unbuyable after valentines day is over?

So far they've never done that with Holiday items. Though maybe in the future they'll make things a bit more seasonal.

Yes they have. Just recently they decided to keep holiday items all-year.

Considering you haven't received a reply from a developer since you asked the first time, let us patiently wait for a response, shall we?

Though the past holds evidence that they will be permanently there.

Instead of using tutorial, I am manually mentoring my friends during a classic game. That works better.

Unfortunately not. We don't have a connection to the Devs anymore.

The Vday items will not be removed from the shop.

The Trial System and game patches are unrelated.

Thanks! That gives me more time to save up if I ever choose to buy the items. I use nearly all of my town points on scrolls.
