Did not perform night ability

I can't tell if this is a very old, and therefore sacred, bug.
But at times when I choose targets for night abilities, the timer runs out, and it tells me I didn't perform my night ability.

Not jailed, not rb'd, nothing.
I just didn't perform, apparently.

I've already lost 3 games to this.

When did you select your ability? Was it towards the end (i.e. somewhere in the last 5 seconds) of the night?

This might be due to latency, that your action didn't reach the server in time.

I've had more than 5 seconds left on 2 of these occassions.
The last one, however, I had to rearrange because of terrible coven planning.

What do you mean with "rearrange"?
Also what was your role during the that?

Meant that I had to switch my ghoul from one target, to another.
But then I ended up doing nothing instead.

So on the last game you were a Necromancer, what about the other two?
Without much info, we cannot help out and track the potential bug.

Vigi on the first one, decided to shoot one as soon as night struck.
Ended up doing nothing, and they were indeed still alive.

Second was as Invest, with pretty much the same story.

Neither of these had good outcomes.

Night struck means when the night began, or close to ti being over?

That'd be as soon as we went into night time.

What I usually do is pick a target early, whoever I find sus/interesting, write their name down, save the will, and then wait for results.
That way I always have a target for investigating, and have time to doublecheck chat logs.

Did you hit space before you opened your will, so that you accidently cancelled your selection?

I assume you mean "space".
And no, I did not.

Besides, that would give me a message of changing my mind.

Not necessarily, if it's near the end of the night. The feedback doesn't always show because of latency.

@Flavorable: Since the message of targetting and changing ones mind is triggered clientside, not serverside, the message would have appeared.
@cico: The player you targetted didn't leave, or did they?
