It's odd that the Blackmailer was promoted before the game even started. He was able to kill the Sheriff night 1.

It's also interesting that there is no Bmer in the post game lobby; he appears to be a Mafioso.

Then the following happened: Both Mafia members left the game before the game started, makign the Blackmailer be the only role left, which got them promoted to Mafioso. Since a Godfather died, they were likely promoted at the beginning of day 2.
