Spy's Bug

When I play as the Spy and bug a target as they die, I sometimes don't get the results for the attack. I just now realized that this only happens when my bugged target and I both die on the same night. About a week ago, I bugged a player who was directly mauled by a Werewolf; both of us died and I didn't get bug results. I played a game today where I bugged a player who died to Mafia while I was attacked by the Serial Killer and I didn't get results. TwoPercentSkimm, a Town of Salem youtuber, experiences the exact same problem on this video (3:18-3:52).
